Freeman That and his parents didn’t approve of his wife. I think Kobe went through a dark time during that 3-peat. The media and the public talking about him and Shaq, people downplaying Kobe’s contributions to the team, his parents not going to watch any of his games and not appreciating the house he bought them because he had a Latina wife. Then he had the whole rape accusation when he cheated on his wife. All of that is what I think made him the Mamba. He took his anger and frustration out on the court, and pushed his teammates really hard. I’m sure you’ve seen him yell and push teammates in practice. He wasn’t easy to play with, but he’s a winner.

Cole Lutz Yup, Post-Rape Case Kobe was a completely different guy in comparison to Pre-Rape Case. He became severely closed off and quit really fucking with people outside of his circle thus leading to the media calling him self centered and arrogant.

Everybody's life is important. It's just that his job made him this popular, but i do applaud him for having been a hard worker and having used his popularity to help others...i do hope that for the rest of these very popular, successful, millionaires that are still alive, that they would willingly give up some of their very expensive toys and give those funds to help the poor - but not to lavish only 1 poor person on TV, but to help several truly poor families even without getting filmed. lol people forget kobe had ALOT of injuries before the achilles. We just don't talk about it cause he played through it all. I remember in 09, he was shooting like 50% from the field and he broke his index finger. instead of sitting out, he played through it by literally adjusting his form to shoot with 3 fingers. Also in 2010, he had a bone spur and even had to drain his knee before every game, games that 99% of the other nba players would've missed. That is the part of kobe's legacy that doesnt get told by stats and how even today, no one will acknowledge. People will say imagine if TMAC never had injuries...lol imagine if KOBE never had injuries.

Imagine how awesome he would look like with the next 10-20 greatest players of all time. Imagine the Lakers' 3-peat and back2back 25th anniversary interview with him. Imagine him giving a speech when his statue in Staples Center was finished. Imagine him inducting a ton of players in the HOF. Imagine him bringing his daughters in the altar. Imagine him becoming a grandfather. Imagine him just sitting courtside watching and enjoying the game he poured his heart out become more succesful. Love you, Kobe.

I hope people remember just how good T-Mac was, he was one of the first tall wing players with skills like that. This is also why I respect Kobe so much, he took the challenge defensively and went against every great guard/forward of the last 20 years. MJ, Pippen, Grant Hill, Reggie Miller, Iverson, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, T-Mac, LeBron, Wade, Durant, Westbrook, Kyrie etc. And almost all of them had some sort of athletic advantage in athleticism, height, speed, strength or stamina.

I wish I could go to an alternate universe where Kobe is still alive having these conversations for us. I’ve learned so much watching the dude. And he had so much left to teach us listening to the dude.

Kobe is one of the greatest early losses of the world. Brilliant man arguably the goat and maybe even better at business than basketball. Greatest player I ever saw and I seen Michael and Bron.

Every human being wishes to live for ever but that is never possible. Mr. Kobe Bryant is an exception. I refuse to address him in the past tense. Possibly amongst those few sport superstars with a serious intellectual bend of mind. An admirer from 🇮🇳 India.

I’ve watched this so many times! So beautiful to see their relationship, you can see the love. Kobe was so comfortable around him. Remembered the score from a work out one in one from when they first started. Man oh man... Kobe we can’t believe your gone our Brother!!!
