2010 mercury Milan radio removal replacement and install

I just had a friend install it and he didn’t do it right. So now I have to redo it because the little cover plate doesn’t fit flush with my unit. Fits but just doesn’t sit right with me. Installed everything else myself but needed his tools to finish up and he did he could do it. He was wrong. Thanks for showing how to get it correctly install going to continue the project tomorrow.

Yo man was wondering if my white harness has a soiled blue wire an my stereo harness has a blue an what wire should I connect it? An I took the touch screen radio off because it was also killing my battery thx

The display works but is stuck saying "mercury milan." Is the radio locked or does it need to be replaced? Also how would I put the code in?
