I'm not sure about the spyders but with the Honda Goldwing if you put anything slippery into the grommets that hold the covers on, the airflow inside could actually blow the covers out. So you might want to be careful about that.

Same thing with the Goldwing. Many riders in Europe used a safety cable just in case the cover blew off. (High speeds) It's just a case if learning how to put the cover back on without moving the grommets

Oil Filter screws Torque to 11 ± 2  N•m (97 ± 18 lbf•in).

ok i thought you were talking about the oil change after the break end oil was removed . my dealer told me 1,000 for the break end oil and the other oil changes at 5-7,000 or once a year depending on what kind of riding you do same as with a car.
