Great video, thanks for posting. I have a 2010 Impreza and am exploring options. To me it is looking more and more like I need to go with the UEL mod. The Subaru sound is amazing. What was the shopping list for the UEL mod for you? I am new to Subaru's. I am a bit inexperienced and want to make sure I am ordering the right parts..

I’m not hating, I’m a huge subaru guy, I love all Subarus and I know you have a very nice car that will do all you need it to do.. seriously it is a very nice car, I would own it myself as a daily driver and absolutely love it… but why spend all that money on a base model automatic Impreza to make it sound similar to a real Wrx/Sti when you could’ve just saved the money and bought a real turbo car and had way more fun? There’s a few fake Evo’s and Wrx’s where I live and they’ve spent thousands on bodykits and effects and attachments and on top of that more thousands in painting said parts.. and then I smoke them in my real Wrx and I’m not trying to brag, it just doesn’t make sense.. why they spent all that money and did all that work to LOOK the part, but didn’t do anything to make the car faster, or in my humble opinion they didn’t just buy the boosted version to begin with absolutely baffles me.. just save your money and buy the performance version that you are trying to model your car after.. sometime or another you will encounter a real version of what you are trying to mock will pull up next to you at a red light and smoke you. I’ve had it happen in my Wrx against a built Sti, that’s how it goes. I’m sorry for the rant but the fake performance cars get me going. It’s just like a base model R/T with hellcat badges thinking people won’t call him out. If you’re gonna try to be the top trim, save up and buy that trim to begin with.

Hey mate just curious to know what the decibel level is on this setup. I want to follow the same route but don’t want a defect. I live in sydney so i have the 2.0 version. Here i think the limit is 90db at idle or 3000rpm

Hey can you post the link to the headers and exhaust please? I really love the sound you have! I have the same car but gunmetal grey! Also going to do a bumper cut with a diffuser to go the dual exit quad tip route. Or maybe some nasty looking dual exit single tips cut on an angle, not sure yet as I’d like to just get the headers and cat back system first!

As for the Tsudo N1 they don’t seem to make it anymore as it’s been out of stock for some time. The Invidia N1 is very comparable albeit more expensive. If it’s fits with the 2008-14 Hatchback you’ll be able to mount it with minimal modifications!

w/ cat would definitely be best. without a cat it definitely sounds a little raspier so just make note of that if you decide to go that route!

They’re not catless, and since they’re made to fit the o2 sensors fit right in place so no worries

@@Dripz nah you’re not gonna find anything for regular n/a imprezas, what you’ll have to look for are wrx parts just make sure to check for whether it’s for a sedan or hatchback depending on whichever you have. In my case I had a hatchback and everything fit okay but I needed to bore out the holes on the stock mid pipe cause the screws that came with the exhaust were a bit too big but that was it. I also got some longer exhaust hangers just to help fitment. It’s not a perfect swap but it’s definitely doable!

@@Dripz yeah definitely, otherwise it’s a real pain to install and you’ll probably end up with the tip rubbing against and then melting your rear bumper which you don’t want. I just found some generic ones at my auto parts store that did the job but you have lots of options!

It’s definitely a bit of a wait, my example took about 5-6 months but between COVID and other things it made the wait a lot longer than it usually would be. I believe normally it’s around 2-3 months

eBay I’d guess, anything you find there though you’ll probably have to take to an exhaust shop to get fitted cause as far as I can tell no one makes generic uel’s for n/a cars, only way you’ll find them is with custom made sets which aren’t the cheapest

had to bore the holes out a little on the stock cat and just for best fitment i did end up getting a 2.5 to 3in adapter
