My 1st car in high school was an 03 Acura TL. Used to drive the crap out of it, definitely a quick car. The V6 was so powerful to me especially when I was 16-17 at the time. I do agree about the FWD.

The new one is about a second faster to 60, but I feel like the 40-70 and 50-90 times won't differ much. The new one does feel peppier due to closer ratios

@@edan7813It definitely helps keep the engine in the powerband better, but the 6 speed is definitely better for the V6. The older V6 Camry has better gearing than the new one. I personally like the 6-speed in the Camry more than the 8 speed for either engine.

@@DMCarReviews yeah the 8 speed is geared somewhat weirdly in the newer v6 Camrys. I have heard that from many people that own and drive them

How many drivers actually use the V6’s strong pulling power for going 80+ mph? I heard that the 2025 generation is getting rid of the V6.

We used to have a 2010 Toyota Camry 2.5 LE with the 6 speed automatic. It lasted us like 9 years and it was the family car passed down when it was bought October of 2011 with 35,000 miles used and lasted us to March of 2021 at 212,000 miles before we upgraded that car to our 2018 ford focus SEL the acceleration on that Camry we had we pretty fast for only a 4 cylinder with the 6 speed automatic but I would say it’s neck and neck acceleration between this Camry and that 2005 Honda Pilot video you made. Luckily this Camry is like 8.84 seconds 0-60 and the pilot with the 3.5 V6 2005 is like 8.46 seconds 0-60

My best run in the Camry was 8.6 seconds. With better tires, 8.4 is doable

@@DMCarReviewsyes the 2010 and 2011 Camrys with the 2.5 4 cylinder have a tested 8.4 second 0-60 time so I’m just saying the 2005 Honda pilot with the bigger 3.5l V6 with the 5 speed is about the same if not slightly quicker.

Friend had one. I got to drive it from Joplin to Faye and back and it was a very heavy rainy windy day and I thought it was an absolute pleasure to drive. Nothing untoward. No sliding. No fishtailing. I didn't think it was getting quite the mileage I'd expect but I thought it had plenty of power and i was in love with how the transmission was actually designed for the engine rather than just thrown on hoping it works ok like some other manufacturers. The 4 cylinder is definitely enough.

More than enough power with my 2010 2.5. It's rare that I floor it and if I do, the pedal never goes all the way to the floor because I have a couple of floor mats to prevent salt damage in the winter. Couple of interesting cars spotted in the backroads an old GM cargo van, a Crown Vic with the hood open and an old land yacht from the 70's.

its even a bit peppier when you put it in S mode. I have one same year and engine I swear this car is faster than my 1997 crown vic I had years ago and its great on gas. I wanted a crown vic as my first car because I thought they were quick but I wasnt that impressed they are gas hogs though that much was true
