No. It's 234WHP as in Wheel Horsepower. This is a Dyno that measures power at the wheels, hence 234WHP. My engine at the crank is around 270HP.

I'm on stock internals, stock trans (except upgraded clutch). I have an AEM FIC with the TK.com tune on it. I don't have any 1/4 mile times yet, or 0-60. I haven't had one bit of problems with this kit since I installed it in March, and it fired up on the first try.

For everyone asking how the car has been I no longer own it. I sold the Corolla last year. The car ran great and I had absolutely no problems with it. TurboKits made a very nice bolt-on kit for the Corolla, and SPEC has great clutches. I'm hopping it's treating the new owner well. I have no idea where this car is or who owns it now :(

Cool vid I'm running a 2009 xrs matrix with stage 2 cams and a turbonetics turbo kit 3 psi making 236 on 91 octane but it's got a crappy auto trans any suggestions weather it's worth it to swap to manual?

Lol no man, it's not. Matrix $15k-$20k to make it to where it is actually fast. My Lexus IS300 bone stock could rape your Matrix. A Manual tranny means nothing, it wont add much more power to that Matrix. Now! If you were to put a V58 Tranny and a 2jz-GTE engine in that Matrix, well that would make a pretty bad Matrix. My lexus has the 2JZ-GE in it. So anyways, you should swap engines, along with tranny. Also just bolting on parts isn't going to make you faster. You need a tune for every part you have man. I am going to super charge my Lexus just to save some bucks.

Any track times? You should be close to low 14's and low 100mph. Dyno numbers dont say too much. We dont know if that dyno reads high or low. I prefer track times with a DA reading.

hey man, nice build,, hey man! i have a client, that want to upgrade his car. its a std corolla and i think the best and easiest way to increase hp is with this bolt on mod. i have to buy everything but i think the 2 concerns i have is 1) it is necessary to change pistons?pistons rings?rods? or its not necessary? 2)i think an open ecu is a must?

I didn't do any internal mods, it's not really required for low boost. Also, aftermarket support for the internals on this engine are hard to come across without having it custom built. This kit comes with a tuned AEM F/IC and you can get the optional PNP harness (I did). It took me about 3 days to install the entire kit myself. Still running great to this day.

Zone Television factory brakes will stop any car, they're required to. Best thing you can do to increase your braking is good tires. What good is locking up the wheel if it's going to slide, right?

Russell Pepin "factory" brakes on a Toyota Corolla were designed/engineered with the daily driver in mind.. not a post pubescent Ritalin jockey who's trying to improve his street times and get street cred with his peers . ..simple physics; the faster you go the less time/distance you have to react. And incidentally corolla's are equipped with ABS. 🙄

EGGINFOOLS that's rather academic ....the point is brakes should be the able to compensate for the reduced time it takes to achieve a given speed. For example; If you can get to 60 mph in a shorter period of time the brakes should also be able to stop the car in reduced distance. As speed increases so does the amount of energy required to slow or stop said mass. I.e. Newtons Third Law; F = ma F is force, m is mass and a is acceleration. The math behind this is quite simple. If you double the force, you double the acceleration, but if you double the mass, you cut the acceleration in half. ∑F = ma The large Σ represents the vector sum of all the forces, or the net force, acting on a body.
