@dave k ▪︎ Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! Yes, you could also take pictures of the bolts before taking off and that makes it pretty easy as well. On burping cooling system, stay tuned, video coming out soon. Thanks for watching another one 😁 👍

Do I need to remove the intake manifold or can it be done with just removing the air boxes? Just removing the air boxes gives a very clear view of the WP. Just not sure it can the R/R.
@my2daylife9322 жыл бұрын
@Jeffrey Holmes Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! Just removing the air boxes is enough to access the water pump. Best of luck! 👍

Does not need any sealant between the pump and the engine?

@@my2daylife932 you didn't answer my question...... 🙄
@my2daylife9322 жыл бұрын
@W Vieira▪︎Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! My apologies! I completely misunderstood the question. When i did this repair i didn't use any sealant on the pump, if you saw some on the bolts its because i did a different repair and had to use a sealant on the timing cover and some got on the bolts from the timing cover to the block.

I’m about to do this job but the replacement pump I ordered has a clink noise inside. Is this normal? I ordered it online from a Toyota dealership.
@my2daylife9322 жыл бұрын
@Myles Gray Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! I would definitely go back to the dealership and point out the noise to them. On mine it didn't have any noises. Best of luck! 👍
@mylesgray34702 жыл бұрын
@@my2daylife932 I figured it out. It was just the washer on the rotation shaft making the noise. Should be good to go!

@W Vieira▪︎Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! With regular maintenance like, oil changes on engine/transmission, filter changes air/cabin ect and one big one is the EGR service every 50k or 60k miles you should be good. Best of luck!👍

You did not say anything about bleeding the coolant and what’s the procedure after the pump replacement and how to put the Prius in maintenance mode!!!
@my2daylife9322 жыл бұрын
@Elquenosequeda Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! This video was really just to show the pump replacement. I do have other videos on how to put the car in maintenance mode and how to burp the air out of the cooling system. Next time i will make sure to include everything in the video. Thanks for watching! 👍

@SIMPLEGUY423 Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! Oh Man, that sucks! The only thing I can think of is if someone else has worked on your car in the past and used some loctite threadlocker on the bolts, it's going to be real hard to get them lose, in most cases they brake off causing a bigger problem. I hope that's not the case for you, you can try to spray brake cleaner directly on the bolts, the chemical has a reaction to it, try to tighten up just a bit and work it back out, in some cases this will brake down the compound and you will be able to get them out. Best of luck! 🤞

Yo my car heater stop working and my car is over heating it makes a humming noise like something wants to turn on I don’t know what’s wrong with my Prius
@my2daylife9322 жыл бұрын
@Trappdaddy 69 ▪︎ Welcome to MY2DAYLIFE! If you have a check engine light on you can get a free scan from any O'Reilly or AutoZone to see what codes you have and point you in a better direction, if not there could be several reasons why your car is overheating. A simple test that you can do when the car is cold is open your radiator cap slowly ( please make sure your car is cold to prevent serious injury) once you open your cap and you hear a pressure sound similar to opening a soda, thats a sign that you have back pressure meaning you have an internal leak. If you see the color of the coolant a chocolate color then that's a sign of a head gasket failure. If all of that checks out then it could be a bad thermostat/water pump or your radiator cooling fan is not working. Best of luck! 👍
