Just bought a 2010 yz450f man what an animal.

Its nice to finally hear a good in depth review of the YZ. All the reviews seem to talk about adjusting to this bike. Is it really that different that you will need to adjust your riding style to hop from a 09 to a 2010? Or is it that you are just uncomfortable for the first few hours on it but still have good lap times?

Id go with the latter from what ive heard. It is a better handling bike, with much better balance and weight distribution, so after adjusting to the benefits, you would only be quiker. So, id say you could only get faster on this bike. Personally, i think the other manufacturers will take up most of the ideas this Yamaha has eventually. If they do, Yamaha has set the standard for motocross bikes which others need to match. Good for us as we get this too ;)

ill tell u one thing its overrated..o cool motor, ok. the kawaskai kx450 is a way better bike for racing. its just handles kinda shitty.put pro circuit suspension on it and ulll be fine.

Yamaha all the way i have an 08 450 switched from a 09 crf 450 Yamaha is a much more ridable bike and guess what !? i a just my valves once every 6 months the Honda i did them ever race
