What about the magneto, you didn't show removing the old one or installing the new one?
@JeeperGear4 жыл бұрын
The way i positioned the camera it ended up showing my hands for 10 mins. But yeah its held in by another snap ring in center. Remove the snap ring, then pull the magneto off. When reinstalling it, on the back of the magneto there's a round tab, it will make sure that you clock it correctly and so it seats properly.

Also if the old one works, it's not really necessary to replace it. All it is a magnet and it's got the same dimensions of the new one. So the new pulley will fit right over it.

I was wondering why you didn't show the installation of the new piece that is closest to the AC unit that the wire plugs into. I wasn't able to get the old one off, so did all the steps you showed, without replacing the first piece.

Great vid brother , my AC it is squealing in nd OFF everything my AC is on full blast nd i would stear to back up or exit a spot !! I think is the clutch that squeal as there is load in the AC when ON and steer same time! Or it may be both bearing nd clutch !! I cant be sure but bears buying the entire AC unit

Where did you find the AC pump part #? Did you have to take the belt off and everything to get down and find it, or was it fairly easy to find?

Great video. I'm having ac problems on my 2013 jeep grand Cherokee but my clutch is not spinning at all with the compressor. Do you think changing out the clutch alone will help or do I need to replace the whole thing?
@JeeperGear2 жыл бұрын
Well, that's different. Make sure your relays are good and if your ac system has a charge. If it's too low, clutch won't engage to save the pump from tearing itself up.

@@JeeperGear I have the same problem, my clutch doesn't turn either, not even by hard. Should I replace the compressor altogether?

Any other ideas what could be making the wobbling out of balance noise. I replaced the parts you showed, but still get the noise. It only happens when AC or defrost are on at idling RPM levels. At highway speeds, no noise. Thanks.

First thing that comes to mind, is the clearance between the clutch and pulley is to great. Place the feeler gauge between the clutch and the pulley to ensure proper clearance. If the clearance is not correct, remove the clutch plate and add/remove another spacer, to minimum air gap between the clutch disk and pulley needed to remain at the distance of about 0.020

What de heck type of tool did you use to get the actual assembly off?

What was the part number on that?

At the time of shooting this vid, dealer didn't provide this part separately and I'm certain that hasn't changed yet. This is an aftermarket item from a seller on eBay. I posted the link in videos description.
