Please use a pair of Jack stands while working underneath.
@princekhan50633 жыл бұрын
Agree. Most of the time I do. I have eight. But I got lazy. BTW. with the wheels on there is enough clearance for me. Also with two jacks on the frame, just one is enough to lift the van. Still I agree, jack stand would be safer.

A neighbor of mine lost his life years ago not using jack stands. Never chance it even once!

Never trust anyone who doesn’t use Jack stands. It’s your dangerous having those jacks under there like that and not using stands!!! Please be safe people!!
@papabits57213 жыл бұрын
Safely first, Jack stands. They make a pan for the 62 E that has a drain. You will need to change the filter per manufactures instructions. But you can dropped the fluid twice or more every year without a mess.

Good to know. Thanks. He already sold his van. And I don’t own one either. I won’t be doing another one of these for a while.
@bradbuckner94962 жыл бұрын
Well if you were not stupid, you would have NOT loosened the (2- left in bolts ) more than one thread. Then pry the pan lose. Then loosen the 2 remaining bolts very slowly. You said you got it worse before. You don't learn very fast. Pretty good video. Thank you.

Damn bro. I wouldn't go under the car with only jack holding it. I would hate for someone that is watching and fallows your video to get hurt or worste killed. There's nothing wrong with using power tools!! It's fine using it to take screw/bolt off. When you put them back on you started by hand and then you can use that small impact you have. Its not that powerful just run it till you hear one click. torque it to spec after.
@patrickduffy65753 жыл бұрын
Yea buddy. I would take the video down for just the reason that John G mentioned jack stands are a must. Also consider wearing safety glasses for videos. Thanks for trying to help everyone, but safety first!

@@princekhan5063 I own a 2012 Chrysler town and country and when it is sitting on the pavement both tires sitting on the pavement I can’t even get a floor jack under it. I had to drive it up on a brick to get it high enough to get the floor jack under it. So I seriously doubt as a human being would fit before they were smashed by the car take care have a good day

@@princekhan5063 thank you for answering, one more question if I may, I clearly saw on your video where you checked under the hood with dipstick ( I know there is not a dipstick, but a cap) I can not find where that is on mine. It is 2011 Chrysler town and country. Do all have this? And I’m just missing it? Thank you in advance
@decmb17382 жыл бұрын
@@cheryldanielson8629 The transmission fluid level is checked by inserting a dipstick into the hole the cap was covering. Fluid levels are very different depending on the transmission temperature.
