Hey Kit Thank you for taking the time to put this tutorial together. For the viewers to note, that The time is takes to make a video and the repair, at a minimum, doubles the time it takes to complete the repair. Kit, I truly appreciate walking us through this repair. Thank you again for all your expertise and hard work.

That pressure sensor was hard to access. Tab was on the underside. Removed the housing and turned upside down to press the stupid tab. Thanks for your video!

Great video. I highly suggest the all aluminum oil cooler. On Amazon for about $65.00. The OEM is plastic and cracks. Advanced Auto wants $308. for this same part.

clamps not factory shes been through this before. seems like its time for the all aluminum design for her. im wondering how to extract a stripped E8. i guess its time to buy a set of inverted torx sockets.

Mine came off with a 1/4 inch 6 point socket. Is that what you stripped yours with? I did end up buying an E8 for the reassembly just out of an abundance of caution for the torque wrench reading.
@pearlrival312410 ай бұрын
@@MoneyManHolmes yes. 6 point stripped mine. The E8 got it off. The torque spec is much lower for re-assembly. You have the right tool for next time lol. Literally the worst place to strip a bolt.

Good vídeo!?? But my question is why replace the oil cooler housing?? I if not broken !,? Why not to replace all seals and put everything back?? Thanks
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair7 ай бұрын
@juliopereira3342 My Pleasure! these cooler housing crack sometimes, so it's better to replace it to avoid a comeback!

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair thank u so much. We have 2017 dodge Caravan, bought the cooler from the dealer without the sensor and the rubber O ring looks like a triangular Oval shape except the big one , comes with the info that need to change the black o ring to a red o ring from 2014 thru 2021 Application.

I think this is a common issue with these. I have a 2014 T&C and it happened on mine and two others i know of. It cost nearly $1000 for this job and i can see why.

Just the coolant, but change the oil after anyway
@MoneyManHolmes10 ай бұрын
Drain like a quarter to half of the coolant so the water line is below the part you are removing. Just know that it will still make a mess.

@papabits5721 really? do you remove the injector rails from the lower intake? I guess there are several ways of doing it!
@papabits572111 ай бұрын
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Nope just move the lower intake out of your way, I have broken those fuel line connectors as rheynget brittle. Good video.
@MoneyManHolmes10 ай бұрын
I guess the various models are built slightly differently, but mine had a long and flexible enough fuel line that I could just move the lower intake to the side with the fuel feed line still connected.

It's Literally a Catch Pan to Catch the oil or coolant leak so you drive around not knowing about it until they are doing your "Complimentary 5 year plug replacement" and oops we noticed while your car was torn apart that you have a oil leak 😒so now you have to pay whatever amount they say to get your vehicle back... Planned Obsolescence... 🤨
