Thank you My car has been down for 5 days and I got tired of waiting for a mechanic to do it. I got to the radiator and couldn't figure out how to get it out and thought the a/c lines were attached to it and didn't know what to do. Watching your video I found that they were connected to a condenser behind the radiator that I didn't know existed. Now I should be able to finish this by myself.

THIS is why I make these videos. Glad I could help!

@@bobaganoosh88 It was a big help. The radiator was a pain to get back in but I was able to do it myself. Iv'e known how to work on cars since I was 10 being a mechanics daughter but I have never had to work on a newer car. They are awful. There is no room, everything is on top of everything. I will look for your videos in the future if I ever have more work to do. Thanks again for your video.

Thank you for a great video. I watched your video last night and I did every step you did and new radiator is in!! I watched one guy pretty much take his whole front end of the car off to do just a radiator. You were straight to the point no blah blah blah. Thanks again

@bobaganoosh887 ай бұрын
@MrCcobra2000 I would make sure the radiator is seated into the rubber gromits on the bottom. If it's inside those it'll be low enough. If it's in those try to see if it's fitting on the top side because it's good be just right and it'll all fit together again.

Amazingly helpful video! Thank you so much. Anyone had a hissing coming from the right hand side of the radiator after replacing the radiator, thermostat, water pump? And it’s a lot of steam. Radiator replaced in December, water pump and thermostat a few days ago but still overheating and now hissing and steaming.

You don't show how to put the radiator back in. I can not get the radiator back in due to air conditioning lines in the way. I been at it for two hours trying to put it back in.

RIght! Brad the Mechanic edits his video and does not show how much of a BI7CH to remove around the AC lines. Took and hour + to remove.... still struggling to get the new one back in without wrecking the fins.... Good video Brad, but you edited out the hardest parts!

Thanks for uploading! What's the metal hose near the windshield wash reservoir? It has a pressure release valve on it that's hissing when I take my 2011 Durango for a good run and I'm trying to diagnose it. There's a good view of it at 8:33.
@bobaganoosh882 жыл бұрын
That is one of the AC lines. If its leaking thats bad but sometimes they hiss after driving.

Should my radiator cap be off while letting it run
@bobaganoosh883 жыл бұрын
Yeah while first starting it, have the cap off to make sure most of the air comes out when filling it up with coolant.

You don't have to change the thermostat, no. Also the tool is called radiator hose clamp pliers.

Did you have to bleed the coolant system
@bobaganoosh883 жыл бұрын
What I do is start the vehicle after filling with coolant, leaving the rad cap off. It'll bubble down after the thermostat opens and will allow more coolant to be added. After that put the cap on and drive it a little. When you come back and it's cooled down a bit you can add the rest of the coolant in the radiator if its needed.
@charliemoore40473 жыл бұрын
@@bobaganoosh88 thats what I did just making sure some of these dodges have that bleeder screw on thermostat housing
@bobaganoosh883 жыл бұрын

Can you provide the part number for the radiator?
@bobaganoosh882 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't have it, but using the VIN from your vehicle, your local parts supplier will be able to get you exactly what you need.
