Hey i just bought a 2011 Ford Explorer and the previous owner replaced the ABS Module...(I assume its brand new) And they've got rid of the old one....is it possible i can get this one (the new ABS Module) programmed???

Yes, used abs modules work sometimes. You may have to try a few. The only module that is considered new is from the dealership. I doubt it's new..

Does this has to be done by a dealership? Does it need to be done if ABS sensors changed?

Anyone with Ford IDS can do it. Programming is not needed for abs sensor replacement.

You use forscan whenever doing used modules?

I've never used forscan but it's possible.

@@autotechtogo6290 how do you install new pcm using fdrs? Doesn’t have a place to put tear tag number like ids. I assume just type the vin in manually? Forscan is easier to do used modules on than ids sometimes ids will say no no not gona let you.

@@philh9238 I would assume you only enter the vin. I don't do many new pcms using FDR's.
