I didn't remove the oil pan on my 02 CRV, I find it only useful when replacing the pan gasket or installing a new oil pump

Yeah me I had to replace the oil pump chain as well, so I found it easier for me to take the oil pan off. Otherwise, I believe that you can get away with it.

That’s usually the crank phasers or sprocket as you called it .. they start making noise and when the oil reaches it they quiet down…did the timing chain replacement stop the noise ?

You have to change everything, like chains,guides, tensioner, sprockets etc... like the all timing kits 👌 😎
