I know it’s been 2 years since you made this video but I have the same exact issue on my 2011 sorento and was just about to waste $300 on strut assembly’s, Thank you so much for making this video!!!

Just did mine yesterday. This video helped tremendously. Though...using a 17mm on the hex nut didnt work for me, kept slipping off. Had to use 18mm. Mine was pretty rusted. Had to use a dremel to cut the bolts off bc like most jobs...doesnt always go as planned. But I did exactly how you did it bro and it worked out. Big thank you!!!. Please post more if you do more work on the Sorento. Not very many Kia Sorento how to videos out there.

I GOT A 2011 SORENTO WITH THE SAME CLUNK. I HIT A NASTY POTHOLE IN THE WINTER. THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE STRUT WHEN IT RECENTLY STARTING MAKING THE NOISE, BUT YOU JUST SAVED ME SOME TIME & MONEY. ALSO, I WILL NOT BE USING RED LOCTITE.

Lol, yes say no to the red lock tite. Also check your struts where they connect under the hood, mine were rusted out. I could it believe what I saw.

Hello.What can you say for crunkle noise and knocking against the floor underneath foot when brake pedal is relrased ? Something physically pushes against the floor mat and making a single knock noise.. left and right steering no rattling noise.. request your help and good advice pls.

Hello Rob, i think you have replaced your strut assembly previously, as you mentioned in this video. But, I couldn't find a video about it in your channel. I was wondering if you have the Torque Specs for top 3 bolts and and bottom 2 bolts for the Quick-Struts? Thanks

You are correct, i did replace those, but I don't recall the specs. I do believe I found a manual online that had them, if I'm not mistaken I may have gotten it from the kia website itself. Try that. My struts rusted out on top, this should have been a recall in my opinion. Very dangerous if they rust out.

thanks ​ SuperRobkar, I just found them online, in another video, let me write them down just in case someone else needs the torque specs; Top 3 bolts: 32-47 ft/lbs, Bottom 2 bolts: 115-130 ft/lbs, Sway bar link to strut: 72-89 ft/lbs. I agree on recall, I have been driving this in NY and Canada, they got pretty rusty indeed. Thanks again, have a nice day!

Thanks for the video. I will be doing this in a month. My car also flunks a lot...when driving on small holes in the road. Don't know what else to replace

Great Video. I also have a 2012 Kia Sorento. Have similar issues when the car hits small bumps. Just had ball joints replaced. So I'm sure this is also the issue after still hearing noise.

AceOspades hopefully that will solve your clunking noise as well. I was about ready to give up until I finally found the problem. Car has been quiet ever since replacing that. Now I am getting the oil pressure sensor starting to fail problem. I have about 110000 miles on her.
