I just happened across this video when browsing older SK04 content, and wow, this is quite the looker! The EcoBoost-specific appearance package really brings the vehicle together. I love how aggressive it looks while still maintaining a thoroughly luxury vibe. This design has aged very well!
@Cincy3210 жыл бұрын
After a few months of looking at non-Ford cars I just bought a 2012 MKS EcoBoost with the appearance package but in silver with all black interior. So far I love the car. I was very skeptical of the MKS since my first car was a 98 Crown Vic LX and I'm a Panther fan but I've got to say that with AWD and the twin turbo V6 this is one really nice driving car with awesome features and great comfort. To anyone who may still be mourning the loss of the beloved Panther platform, give the EcoBoost MKS a try and I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised.

This was probably the best and most aggressive looking Lincoln at the time and even now, but then they redesigned it for 2013...
@montanatru8 жыл бұрын
I totally agree messed up the front end big time
@gregt86386 жыл бұрын
I agree with that comment. When they did the redesign for '13 they also goofed up the rear end and interior! I suspect that's why sales went down on the car before they stopped production in '16. Unfortunately Lincoln has a history of taking a really nice style and then making it less attractive over the following years.

Yea u are totally correct the 2012 front design is way better looking and more aggressive than the 2013 new redesign but it is still a good looking car but i like the 2012 better
@muffmaster3 жыл бұрын
I have a 13 and understand completely why everyone feels this way, but when you see them next to each other you would almost certainly take the 2013+. Sync 3 alone, even sync 2 is light years Better then 1. The 2013+ all around just has more features inside & out not to mention a large leap In Reliability, and a huge leap in 2015 with the timing chain updates. Though I can’t really argue, 2012 may be a prettiest Mks. There’s also a lottt more ugly plastic the interior of the pre 2013 cars.

I have yet to see a car at any car dealership that actually has a full tank of gas. Hell not even a half tank. Most car dealers get cars sent to them on E. No matter if they sell brand new or used. They only put about $5 or $10 of gas in it just to keep it running for a short test drive, or around the lot.

@@ayodejiabraham7296 absolutely we had a catastrophic problem with it. We maintain everything by the book and only at Lincoln dealerships. At three years old the ecoboost engine blew up with no warning while I was driving on the highway. It cost $14,000 to replace the engine and turbos at the dealership. We still own the car and have loved it but I couldn’t recommend it after the problem we had. It’s been a second car since and replaced with a new Mercedes Benz.

@man_on_wheelz6 жыл бұрын
Just got mine 2 months ago. 2010 Ecoboost, not with the ecoboost appearance package though, which I kind of like, keeps me looking inconspicuous! Last night I was cruising around on the highway and a car was going at a modest pace in the left lane while I was slowly passing in the next lane, then another car in a bit of hurry rolled up behind that car hoping they would get out of the way. So I laid the hammer down and left the scene in the dust, the car in a rush got in the lane I was in then proceeded to take the left lane I was now in and caught up to me as I let off the gas, instead of letting him get close enough to tailgate me, I laid the hammer down again and never saw that car again. I bet he never saw that level of power coming from such a big ordinary looking car.
