Unpopular opinion: LeBron saved Dirk’s legacy. If LeBron plays average in this series, and just a bit better in the 4th quarter, Heat win in 5 games. Not to take anything away from Dirk, but Dallas barely won with LeBron playing like shit. Heat should have won the series pretty convincingly.

Victor Gomez Bosh was not known for good perimeter defense. Haslem had been guarding Dirk for most of the game, so it was weird they would just change it for that final play. Also, Bosh would be your best guy to guard the paint and go for a rebound, so having him out on the perimeter guarding the best shooter on the field was kind of strange. I don’t think it was hilarious, but for sure questionable.

The final 6 minutes of this game are, without hyperbole, one of the pivotal moments in NBA (and sports?) history. Dallas came back! Dallas ended up winning the title! Along the way they, quite frankly, broke LeBron's brain! LeBron regrouped the next year and at that moment finally scaled the last step between "super-duper star" and "one of the greatest any of us have ever watched". Who knows what woulda happened if the Heat just closed it out and won the series in 5. Maybe LeBron wouldn't have ever become as good as he is. Maybe?
