Unpopular opinion: LeBron saved Dirk’s legacy. If LeBron plays average in this series, and just a bit better in the 4th quarter, Heat win in 5 games. Not to take anything away from Dirk, but Dallas barely won with LeBron playing like shit. Heat should have won the series pretty convincingly.

It was extremely reminiscent of 2006 game 3 when Dallas was up 2. That changed the series. This game did too. Miami had a fight on their hands and they knew it.

I’ll always remember the corner 3 by Wade, followed by the aggressive celebration by James. Victor Gomez Bosh was not known for good perimeter defense. Haslem had been guarding Dirk for most of the game, so it was weird they would just change it for that final play. Also, Bosh would be your best guy to guard the paint and go for a rebound, so having him out on the perimeter guarding the best shooter on the field was kind of strange. I don’t think it was hilarious, but for sure questionable.

It depends on how you think about it. The shooting itself is easy. But making that decision to let Chalmers to shoot, instead of the big three, the previous several fake screens, requires high courage for the coach as well as those players.

I love how they just watch each other shoot three’s, both teams do a bad job at closing out to the shooters. Especially LeBron, at 12:52 you can see Chandler screening Haslem and technically that would be Bosh’s man since Haslem was screened by Bosh’s man in which would cause a switch. But he’s behind chandler and bosh so he wouldn’t get there in time. But LeBron is really close to Dirk and instead of contesting the shot he just watches him shoot a wide open three just like he does in the gym making them be down by 3. Terry did the same thing on the next play, he let Chalmers just sit at the corner wide open
