Friend, I finally got this screen, but there is no way to connect the navigation controls through the buttons and dials on the panel below where the CD and radio ones are, you have to navigate through the touch panel only on the screen itself. There is no other way? The other thing is that the temperature cannot be controlled by numbers.

Couple of quick questions. Which one did you purchase as there's several options as far as ram and gb size and pricing. And Any update on how the unit has been doing ever since? Any lags or "boot up" or freezing or connecting problems ?

I did the 2G-32G which should be about $349. The unit functions, I just don't like the harness connector for the canbus that connect near the steering wheel. The design for the harness doesn't seem practical. You can install it without connecting it but you will lose minor data points coming over the canbus.

@andykamstra4692 the entire unit that I pulled out @ 4:37 is where the new radio would go. If you still want to use CDs, that would require a different unit to be installed.

No this does not have the tech package. I really don't understand why they didn't just make all special edition models fully optioned.

El diseño de este sistema hace que sea un poco más difícil mantener el aspecto OEM. La mejor opción de trabajo es reemplazar la unidad principal por una de posventa. Best Buy tiene muchas buenas opciones. La radio Android en este video mantiene el aspecto de fábrica, pero en mi opinión no funciona muy bien.

The unit that was installed basically replaces the "head unit". My recommendation would be to leave the top screen in place and replace the head unit with a regular branded unit that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The better question is why Acura didn't make all Special Edition models come standard with the Tech Package. I thought it was supposed to be "SPECIAL". 😂

AC controls will never work, all canbus only support Celsius and not Fahrenheit thats why it only shows L or H. Also, there are many other models for CU2 headunit, why went for this shitty one?

Good to know. I chose this unit as it was the best option to maintain the factory look. With that said, an aftermarket unit will definitely be a better option.

@salam_hasan I would just go with any regular unit that would replace the head unit. Everyone's preference will vary based off of their needs.
