2012 BCS National Championship, #1 LSU vs #2 Alabama (Highlights)

The 13-0, #1 LSU Tigers met the 11-1, #2 Alabama Crimson Tide in New Orleans, LA for the BCS national championship. The teams had met once before, with LSU defeating Alabama 9-6 in overtime in Tuscaloosa. With this win, Alabama claimed its 14th national championship.

Loved this game! Amazing to think that Alabama and LSU could play 8 quarters of football, plus an overtime, and that there would be only one TD between the two teams. Roll Tide!

AJ played his best game of the season (so did Gentry who actually outplayed Jesse Williams) in the NC game. I remember this game like the back of my hand and is one of my favorites outta all of Alabama’s NC’s. Always nice to get one over on a rival in their own home state. LSU’s offensive playing calling was on of the dumbest on a big stage I’ve ever seen. If you’ve got OBJ and Landry you’ve gotta throw more. Not run run run into one of the best run defenses of all time.
