2012 BMW 650i Coupe Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour

In this video I give a full in depth tour of the all new 2012 BMW 650i Coupe, loaded with just about every option available! I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Gorgeous car. If you drive regularly on the German autobahn like i do (from Arnhem to Stuttgart and back the same day driving 180-240km/h for hours, only where it is allowed of course), a BMW is one of the best cars to have and it makes perfectly sense to buy a car like this. A car like this must be a bit frustrating in countries with a speedlimit of something like 70mph; you probably never get to know its true qualities.

I own a 750 I and I thought having it I could carry four or five passenger, well that rarely happens, So as I,ve gotten older, My choice will be another BMW, This time the 640 I for better mileage and two doors, since I,ve learned that It,s just the wife and my self most of the time. Four door has been nice but not as practical as i thought and I would also like better fuel milage with more diesel and electric car available, I,m not at that level yet, Maybe ten to fifteen years down the road. C- y'all down the road.

Could you tell me why every single massive BMW I've ever seen is always driven by a tosser. 'Oh look at me, I have a big German car with a massive engine, this gives me the right to drive up everyone's arse and overtake on corners while simultaneously cutting everyone up'. Safety,technology,race car features,performance,style, grace,and worth twice the car most would select to drive, but down the road a car you wished you had the money to buy. A vehicle most companies copy to boost there market and add style to their line. Don't be a copy-cat get an original or after thought! Think and buy once or get copies until you come to the realization of what a leader looks like. Just saying.

I personally like this kind of transmission. Yes I know that it's not really the same as a real manual, but at least you have the option right? Sometimes I get tired on long journeys and the fact that I can just flip it to automatic makes me rest a little bit.

I really like interiors of new BMW's , especially 5 series and 6 series. They're really in their own league now in terms of materials used and fit and finish. Audi and Mercedes are following BMW to some extent with new A6 and E class / CL, but any other saloon or coupe in those segments is just one or two leagues under in terms of quality and attention to detail. German car makers were always really anal in those terms, but especially in last few years. Insane quality.

@jsschipp4 650i starts from 83k this one is around 95k-100k not really sure about the options it has, but you can get a 6 series with inline 6 which is the 640i, and it starts from 640i

BMW has always had numbers for their cars. There are some that don't have numbers i,e Bavaria and Isetta. I'm guessing it keeps them from having to think of a name for the car, so its easier. The numbers just sound better in my opinion.

Further more if you look up 650i specifically (granted they all work the same though) "Once drivers brake or lift their foot off the accelerator, the generator is activated and then converts the excess kinetic energy into electrical energy. When the battery is fully charged with this excess energy, the generator is then disengaged from the engine. Overall it unburdens the engine, reduces emissions and increases fuel consumption savings. "

If they make alot of options standard it makes the base price higher so it not really needed. Not everyone need the door to open and close on its own.

A couple factors, taxes are high in Australia. Other than standard taxes, we have a GST tax which is 10%, and a luxury cart tax which is 20% on anything over 55k. There is also the buying power of America because of the population size, the need to compete with several other American car manufacturers. There is also a price gouging component because we are an island and we can't import cars easily. An A4 fully decked out would be in excess of 100k in Aus.

Who wants such a big difference in sound level? I use a sound system. Sometime when you talk the sound is so weak i need to turn the volume up, but the next scene has a five times higher level so it blows my ears. For the people making video and posting on youtube, when using a mic, take care to normalize the sound and have it the same in all scenes. Thanks! Good channel, by the way!

well im assuming like other m-sport packages, it does actually offer sportier suspension and such. im not very familiar with the m-sport packages but i know for sure it isn't just a bunch of badges. however the improvements are minor, and yes most people would be getting the package for the badges lol
