I had a similar issue. My coil pack died on me while driving home. Replaced coil pack and would crank and not start. Fuse 9 was blown when my old coil pack died. Fuse blew due to cable connectors to coil pack and computer were dirty/corroded. Cleaned everything and now starts up with no codes

How did you clean the computer

@@LetsMakeItHappen23 I disconnected the 3 wiring harnesses going to the computer. Sprayed electrical cleaner and removed any green visible corrosion by removing the individual pin.

What fixed the problem? Was it the coil pack blowing the fuse? I have that same fuse blown on my 2012 Chevy Cruze and have crank and no start.

Was a shorted driver due to water instruction. New ecm, coil, clean the connector, and programming fix the car

@@juansautodiagnostic6199 my daughter’s car was driving fine and all of a sudden on the highway it stalled and lost power. Now crank and no start. Checked the number 9 fuse and it’s blown.

@@krazyrican2009 I would the proper research or take it to a professional. This isn't a how to video. Got to find what is in that circuit and if there any wiring harness damage

@@juansautodiagnostic6199 thank you so much for replying. I was able to to fix it. The problem was a bad coil pack (shorted) that was blowing the fuse. I replaced the coil pack, replaced the 15amp fuse and replaced the spark plugs as well. She’s running like new. Had it not been for this video I wouldn’t have looked at the number 9 fuse right away which lead me to the coil pack. Thanks again.

I have no power going to fuse 9/10 or any in that line. Is there a relay that controls those fuses?

@@420mrcollinschange the fuse box out. Go to a pick a part and grab one off of a similar Chevy Cruze. That’s what I did. Was very easy to do. Took longer to drive there then to take out and put in a new one. 3 screws and release the pins on the side. Not telling you what to do. Just giving advice.

I WAS ON THE FENCE ABOUT CHANGING THE ECM. CHANGING THE FUSE BOX WILL BE MORE WORK BUT IT WILL BE A LOT CHEAPER TO DO, ESPECIALLY IF THE EMC DOESNT WORK@@mikejohnson-vq7ez

Have the same but 2011 1.4l my question is : was it the pcm or the coil pack the initial problem?

was corrosion that cause the driver to short out. normally its good pratice to change out both components. the main reason was cause it will burn the coil

Ya got another pcm new, new ignition coil, and cleaned out the connectors. Fix the issue

@@juansautodiagnostic6199 thanks for the reply. My mates got a Chevy Cruze 1.6 lt and been tryna get it to start , every time we turn the ignition on the fuel pump knocks and the Engine light flashed the same amount of times the fuel pump is knocking and it cranks but won’t start any suggestion?
