i just had a no crank no start that got worse on cold days in my 200... it was the TIPM, u can get a used TIPM for pretty cheap and replace it yourself... the TIPM or (totally integrated power module) is literally the fuse box under the hood, they designed it like shit and in stead of replacing a $2 relay when one goes out chrysler decided that integrating them into a module on the bottom of the fuse box was a better idea 🤦‍♂️

I just had this issue and it was my battery. The battery in my car was the original. Went and changed and it’s been good since. Good luck.

OK EVERYBODY THATS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE 2012 CHRYSLER 200. My mechanic sent it to the electrical shop and they found that the wire that’s connected to the starter was cracked so it was sending the car into protection mode. Here is what he texted me. “Not the computer It was a shortage in the wire that was on the starter was crack and touching ground. So it was sending the car on protection mode. That's why it wasn't starting”. 8/18/2018 9:25 am California time, My Chrysler 200 2012 is still running and starting up with no problems since they sent it to the Electrical shop!!!

I had my car running to warn up in my garage. When I came back it was smoking under the hood. I turned it off, and since then I had a no crank no start.. do you think it would be the same thing? It's a 2013 Chrysler 200

Take your positive battery cable off wait about 30min minutes and put it back on the battery is on the driver side under the wheel finder I had to do mine last week and it fixed it

I have been having this same issue for 2and a half years replaced the battery 3times at the car dealership recommendation and problem resolves for about 6 months there's an electrical issue that is not being addressed I believe and the dealership is not willing to find it.... I have had the starter checked the alternator checked it has some power the minute I jump the car it fires right up I'm so frustrated with this car

It ended up being the starter for me. Didn't work with a jump i believe, so yours might be a different issue. It's definitely electrical, just gotta find out which area to investigate.

The tipm and/or the ground wire to the starter. Replace them to correct the issue

I am having the same problem so many people saying things but did you ever find out what the issue is. I got power but when I try to start it nothing no crank nothing. It’s not the battery I know battery good. I had to tow my car home. 😢

If it does that and it cranks but wont start its the pcm . Spent over 2k$ and 3 dif chrysler dealerships trying to figure that one out. Swapped it and reprogramed it and bam good as new

i have a Chrysler 200 2011 my ground wire strap was disconnected but i dont. know where its connects to i replacement the battery idk im all confused i dont wanna buy a starter cause what if its not that

Also try this if no crank no start happens , get in vehicle , close door, remote start it , unlock car , then literally within 5 sec or less put in key turn to run but dont try to start it , and put in drive and go . Had to do that for awhile .

your glovebox light is not turning off when you close it, disconnect the bulb and it should be fine, if not it needs an additional ground wire.

So you may have to send it to the electrical shop because it’s a shortage in the wire.

Nah that blinking is just the camera quality. It's a steady light

It was ultimately the starter. The flickering lights in the video is probably a result of the recording.

Yep. Cut out on me once before, ended up sitting in the cold blistering winter for hours. Someone stopped by, tapped the starter, and i was good to go. After that i got a new one. Couldn't have it clocking out anywhere else on me.

After checking everything over & over again I finally decided to to take a chance & replace the computer or PCM/ECM, that was the problem! I bought a refurbished unit off internet from flagship one, I decided to chance it as the price was really cheap compared to Chrysler dealer.

My 2012 200 won't crank and when it won't crank the horn won't work any ideas I've changed the ignition switch and it's still not cranking over but everything powers up when the key.is on

This is the exact same thing happening to my Chrysler 200 2012. I also don't have the key below the steering wheel and there's still power in the car. Were you able to find out what was wrong?

Emanuel Elzie yea man, you prob need a new starter. Someone suggested i tap(or bang) on mine while starting the engine and that worked. If you need to find it, Location is more so to the front of the car, directly under the engine. If you follow the air filter, you'll find it directly behind the hose. I had a green and red wire connected to or around it. Hopefully that helps.

It’s on my 2012 Chrysler 200. It was running fine until I filled it up with gas. now it won’t start at all. So it’s in the shop right now. I will definitely give you guys an update once they tell me what the problem is.

My Chrysler 200 had a cracked Wire. So I put a new Starter on it but the wasn’t the problem. It was a Shortage in the cracked wire. I’m have the same problem. I put a new starter on it and it still won’t start. It’s in the shop now. I put a new motor an it did the same thing. No start. So they will let me know today and I’ll let you guys know what the problem is

Andre Johnson. You may have a kill switch on it located underneath the dash some models came like that from the factory

Im having the same problem with my 2013 , 200 Chrysler 😩 does anyone know what is it? not the battery, motor, they put the computer and nothing appears to be the reason … took it to 3 mechanics already and nobody knows the problem 😭

Hey daniela, For me it was the starter, someone gave it a tap and it turned right on after that. I laughed at how they were able to get the car rolling like that, and shortly after I ended up replacing the starter. All was fine after. Have you checked that item?
