Good decision can have a good outcome, and a bad decision can have a good outcome.

Keeping track of decisions and improving processes - isn't that working on improving 'hindsight'?

I think what is mentioned in the first couple of minutes carries some importance. Unfortunately, there has been a generalization and an encouragement to learn by experiences and mistakes, whereas research indicates that has negligible impact on a person's intuitive theories and predictive behavior. So a good thing to mention is that under specialized and specific circumstances progress can be made. Even so, as one of his co-authors signifies experiences and feedback, improving the heuristics of a person may do more damage than good, thus the focus is on a team's decision-making processes.

I can't believe someone so smart thinks it's impossible to pick stocks. Someone should tell him about Warren Buffett. The chances of him being successful by chance are billions to 1.
