Hey, went to harbour freight, bought a heat gun, and fixed the dent in the bumper of the Scion!!! I didn't have to take anything off because I could fit my hand in between. It's not absolutely perfect like yours, but the dent is gone!!! Thank you!😊

I have watched several of these videos and I must say most flawless technique I've seen yet. the focus of heat on the highest crown and then finishing with the lower crown was awesome. Thank you for the video.

So satisfying to see that bumper pop out! Not too often you can save $700 with less than an hour's worth of work! Thanks for posting!

Sunday night my Scion XB was backed into. I watched your video and last night I was able to pop the dent back out using a heat gun. Thanks for posting your tutorial video!

Thank you for this! Watched it and removed softball sized bumper dent just now. However, I used my wife's hair dryer(don't have heat gun). Where it doesn't get as hot it's less likely to bubble the paint, but requires an extra minute of heating. My bumper popped right out!

Did you have to apply pressure from the other side? What do you mean by "popped right out"?
@dpatrickb1310 жыл бұрын
heated area for about 3 min w/hair dryer, while still applying warm air with left hand, I snuck my right hand up and inside the dent and gently pushed out from inside. The effected area then just popped back into original form. some smaller indents I had to hold in position while they cooled. Then I sprayed cool water from a bottle and it "set".Apart from some minor paint scratches, you cannot tell the impact happened.

I'm not familiar with the Tc but I imagine it would if the outer bumper shell is made from the same material

Rebecca Dadd I'm not sure. Is it plastic?

Love the video but do I have to take the tire off
@rob215x10 жыл бұрын
It depends on the car. If you can fit your arm in there to press out the dent while you're heating it, then you don't have to take the wheel off.

What would you think would work for my 2008 Ford Mustang GT? I don't know what it's made of but I know It's not plastic. Some idiot hit the side of my car today, the dent isn't that bad but I notice it and it bothers me. I hear boiling water works but I'm not sure

Good work but its un called for to take off the tire im a pro at this and i never took off a tire i just slip a bar from under the bumper or if its a big enough gap i can fit my whole hand from behind it easy as cake" nice work though"
@rob215x10 жыл бұрын
I've never done one of these before. It just seemed easier to take the wheel off. I couldn't get my arm in there otherwise.

not bad but u can still see the small dents all around the corner of that bumper doe but you could it still try to heat up a little bit more the bumper and try to work those low spots and highs so you could have an even superfice good video for beginners
