How has that anchor system held up and what LB of anchor is it? Looking for an anchor system for my sportsman. I fish at a lake that is usually windy. Thanks!

Sweet, thanks for the vid. I just picked one up today. Got the boat and trailer, both two years old for 300 bucks. The lakes in my area are small and when I heard of this deal, I said, why not. Never heard of these before, so your video came in handy for most of the information I was looking for. The guy I bought it from thought there was a battery inside the boat because of the wires, but I can safely assume the wiring is just in place for a small outboard and trolling motor.

Canadian: The motor in the front is nice so you can adjust while fishing without having to turn around. But I added the bow mount with foot control..soooo much better!!! =)

Was it easy to put the trolling motor on the front of the boat?

It wasn't too hard. I used some wood strips to sandwich the motor in, then drilled a series of 5 holes and used long bolts. The hard part was grinding out the tabs that I wanted gone for a clean look.

Hey Good vid. I just bought on of these boats. Looks like the boats are originally designed for the minn kota trolling motor to be on the back. Do you have any problems having it rigged to the front of the boat like you do? Why do your prefer the motor to be mounted on the front?

I'm looking hard at one of these for small ponds in MN. Love the sportsman battery for your sonar. I do that on my Alumacraft T14v in Ontario. I figure a Humminbird Helix draws 300mah so at 80% I efficiency I can run it for 24 hours
