IMO it is the last real SUV... I had a pre-lift version but gear ratios were so short it was a pain to drive it on hughway. Can you tell me waht rpm did you have at 100 or 120kph in 5th gear?

The facelift has only the 6-speed manual, no more 5-speed manual gearbox. In the 6th gear at 100 kmh it does about 2600 rpm. So I would say it is not perfect, but it is ok. From other hand I was impressed how economical the engine is - I drove quite energical and it did just 6 l/100 kmh and it sounds good.

@@pushthethrottle you sure? As far as I know that generation of Grand Vitara (2005-2014) never had a 6-speed manual. I was always 5-speed. Only change was applied in face-lift in 2008 where gear ratios was made "longer"? to improve economy of that car.

@@PureDrivingExperience 😂 sorry, You wrote also a comment by Suzuki S-Cross and I wasn't attentive to notice that you are asking about Grand Vitara☺. My answer was for S-Cross. This Grand Vitara wasn't so economical. You are absolutly right - they never had a 6-speed manual. At about 100 kmh, the car got about 1950 - 2050 RPM in 5th gear. Again sorry for misunderstanding!
