This is the truck I'm going to get next year same model (2012 and TRD sport) and as well as a dark color like black, dark metallic grey or a dark brown just not sure whether to get the long bed or short bed...I have about five months to decide

Thanks, great review. Cant decide if I want the access cab or double. I like the longer bed and the access look. The long bed on double cab is bigger then I wanted to go.

I live in Alaska and own a Tacoma. The reason is because moonroofs are susceptible to cracking and breaking from heavy snow/ice pile up. I had a friend who woke up one morning to get into his car only to find a seat full of icy glass. But if you keep it in the garage, it shouldnt be a problem.

It's because the regular and access cab are too short, and research showed that there wasn't a ROI on the development for just the double cab. He also probably should have mentioned that it's not a bed liner. The resin deck doesn't have a sheetmetal bed underneath it.

Disk brakes aren't necessary on a pickup. Drum brakes give more surface area anyway, they just don't dissipate heat as well. With most of the weight being over the front wheels there's no point in raising the vehicle msrp by running an extra brake cable to the rear.

Toyota vehicles consistently rate top of their classes in safety. If you're referring to the acceleration problems, neither the NHTSA or NASA could find or replicate the problems, and stated that the issues had were just as likely to happen in any other vehicle with drive by wire. More recently, a congressman has motioned to re-open the case, but his efforts were dismissed due to conflict of interest.

I have a 05 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with over 160,000 miles on it. It was my first vehicle and after owning it for a year I have decided to switch to get a Tacoma as my next truck. Ford makes crappy trucks that cannot withstand high mileage. I should have listened to my dad and gotten a Toyota.

PRERUNNER?! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kay, all "PreRunner" means in toyota terms is: Looks like the 4x4, but is 2WD, so when you go to sell it in the future, noone will want to buy it because its 2wd. oh and if its TRD offroad prerunner then you have a diff locker, but if its TRD sport prerunner then its just a plain old 2wd with bilstein shocks and a fake hood scoop.
