Good video. I realize there is some debate about whether or not you can use any synthetic oil in a VW engine. I put this for those who want more information. I was talking with my local VW mechanic (been working on them for 45 years) to confirm whether or not I could buy just any synthetic oil for my 2014 CC. He told me that it's real important to make sure the oil specifies the required 'VW 502 00' indicator. Although Mobile1 does make a European Car Formula that does in fact have this indicator on it (it shows VW 502 00 through 505 00), the engine oil used in this video is not compatible with the VW 2.0 engine. It’s not easy to find the Mobile1 European oil. He said the VW engines that weren’t maintained with the correct oil definitely don’t last as long as those that were. He also told me you will notice better fuel economy when using the correct oil. But the main thing is that the improper oil “will damage internal components of the VW engine over time”. He is a local small shop mechanic that I trust. He isn’t benefiting at all by saying this as he knows I change my own oil and wouldn’t steer me wrong. I did more research and although there are a lot of people saying the other oils are “probably fine” or “shouldn’t make any difference”. I’m not taking any chances. Look for ‘502 00’ on the label. :) Just food for thought..... I get mine from blauparts.com it’s $53.83 for the oil and filter. www.blauparts.com/vw-cc-oil-change-kit-5w-30-20t-hps-2009-14.html

Word of experience, make sure you put the washer back on the drain plug. Also, on my 2010 CC, the drain plug is an 8mm hex. Myself, I use Liqui-Moly 5W-40 and a Mann W719/45 Oil filter. It's the "official" VW 502 00 spec oil. Oil is $41.99 for 5.0 Litres and Filter is &16.99, here in the North Texas area, Advance Auto.

They did the same to me. I now know I have an R Line so I always tell the exact model or else they can make that mistake and some have thread sticking out and others don’t. Note which one yours has.

so many mistakes. 1: Always crank open filter first to see if you can remove it before you start draining oil. 2: While draining open fill cap 3. Replace drain plug washer 4. Wrong oil. VW uses 502 spec oil (bottle has to mention it), and since its EU car it should have special cert for SAPS level. 5. If car was on ramps, drive off, you have to check on level surface.

That is the TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) light. If that comes on while driving or when engine is running, then it means a low tire pressure.

@biz4twobiz4632 жыл бұрын
@@thebigbosss1000 correct. if your wheels do not have the TMPS sensors (1 per wheel), then you will have that light up all the time. The easy fix, is to go to a tire center and have them check. You might actually have the sensors, but they were never re-programmed to the car.
