Thanks a lot for this video. One of the best on KZbin for this particular van. Did the job last Friday, this helped a lot during preparation. When torquing the bolts of the flywheel a block of wood between the teeth of the flywheel and the subframe worked very well to prevent it from rotating. For people who don’t own a pressure bleeder like me: bleeding can be done very fast by pumping the fluid directly into the slave cylinder using a simple oil can and a piece of 6 mm hose.

Great achievement. Mate is doing mine and I'm helping him on his 4 poster ramps. Would like to do it myself till I picked up the Flywheel from the merchants, thought it was nailed to the desk. 👍👍

Yep it’s all heavy and awkward, but definitely a job anyone can tackle, but a lot nicer on a ramp

Great video except I’m stuck on the final hurdle. My LUK master cylinder doesn’t have a manual bleed nipple like the original one with the nut type bleed nipple so I tried to pressure bleed from the top like you did but nothing comes out and there no pressure at all in my clutch pedal or do I pressure bleed up from the bottom? Also does my clutch pedal need to be up or down during this process? Thanks

Hi, so for bleeding the best point is clutch pedal needs to be up, in normal driving position, on the slave cylinder in the gearbox, will be the bleed nipple, this is a half turn bleed nipple from memory, turn it I think anti clockwise, to open it, then bleed through with pressure bleeder, and close before stoping the pressure, to ensure air doesn’t re-enter the system, hope this helps
