My son has a 2016 SRT and one side blows hot and the other blows cold when the AC is on. It’s the passenger side that blows hot. So i changed the blower and the blend vent controller and it still does the same thing. Any ideas? Oh yeah, KUDOS for working on todays cars because every time I work on this it reminds me why I work on heavy equipment, because it’s easier and no one is emotional over an Excavator or Back-Hoe

Hello I never encountered that problem I read on it right now but it says it could be the blend door malfunction. From what I remember the car has 1 blend motor on the passenger 2 on the driver side one is the visible one top right side of the gas pedal the other one is above that one the very top one is the one that gave me the issue I swapped it twice. What I would suggest is remove one that is good and swap it to the other side to see if u notice a change hopefully it’s just that. And thank you I try to do what I can do on vehicles but sometimes it does get confusing with these new ones. I’ll try to look for more info on that issue and reply if I find anything else on it

Was checking some forums online people that have had that issue are saying the passengers door is there issue not sure which one you swapped

great video Did you do this because you had no heat? That is the issue I have, all of a sudden no heat. Do you need to do anything after you put the new actuator in place like line up the gears(teeth)? Thanks

Adsb Adsb so it does have to line up with the gears. And yes my ac has always worked just the heat gave out

@@osvaldo2460 Sorry I missed the reply...Thank You. By lining u the gears do you need to turn anything (the gear on the motor or the heat door) or just make sure the actuator motor just seats snug and tight. I am going to do mine in the spring as it is put away for the winter. Thanks

Adsb Adsb it should go into the gears and match the 2 screw wholes

I actually got rid of mine 5 months ago had a dam cylinder issue made out good since the vehicle shortage

i had this issue years ago and dealership said they reset something and it was fine but starting today i have the exact opposite issue its stuck on heat and won't switch over to ac

That’s different but it is more than likely the same issue the actuator door just got stuck. Is the a/c light staying on ?

Walter Ortega good morning no I have not. You should check the heater core ASAP was it a lot of water or just damp

#Waldosgarage here in Austin it’s been raining for like 2 days so when I noticed water on top of my rubber mat I pulled out the driver’s rubber mat and i started to touch the carpet and it was soaked so yeah guy it was . So either I got a leak or like you said I should get it looked at ASAP. I appreciate it question what happens if I have a bad heater coil?

Walter Ortega that’s weird I could see if u had gone over a lot of water maybe somehow it got in,but the cars are pretty covered when it comes to that lmk if u find the issue or if somehow water managed to get in . Good luck sorry couldn’t be much help on the subject

I've been having that same problem I also have a 2013 Challenger RT but my issue is when I'm driving for a while with the AC running the AC just stops getting cold literally just starts blowing out hot air but it only does it if I'm driving for more than three or four hours I don't know what that could be

kmoney2008 u should get you’re ac compressor checked idk much about the ac compressors but on another vehicle I had did something similar it ended up being a filter in the lines. Not sure if that helps.

If you go to autozone or whatever just say blend door actuator all three actuators are the same
