I love the Ford Explorer!!! Always was my favorite midsized SUV! Great review!! Pretty much nailed my perception of it!
@averageguytested11 жыл бұрын
hmmm - the CRV is a solid small crossover. So if you need something for 4 adults and you won't be hauling lots of cargo - it will do you well. It's also a Honda and they are bullet proof in terms of reliability. The Explorer on the other hand is a large crossover SUV - has more of a truck feel and has true seating for 7. You'll pay a bit more for the Explorer if you want to trick it out and it'll also cost you more at the pump. I'd say - test them both @ the dealer

Hey thanks for posting a thoughtful review of this car! I am impressed with the new Ford Explorer platform and i like how practical it is for everyday drivers and for weekend thrill seekers. I think this review covers most of my concerns/questions about the SUV and i am definitely going to test drive the Ford Explorer and hopefully buy one down the road. Thanks again!

Ok, gotta love that water fall!! Nice touch. Great review as always. I am looking at SUV's. My husband is a Ford guy. I love Chevy, but I must admit this Ford looks pretty good. I have always loved Ford's spaces in their trucks and SUV's. My husband and I appreciate the head and leg room. :). Great job!!

Hey there - sorry for the delayed response. I'd have to say that the MDX will give you the space, luxury and tech that you are looking for. I have yet to actually review one - but I know a few owners and they swear by them. Since you love the RDX - stay with Acura! ;)

The only issue with a lot of these subs though is the spare. Don't get me wrong The new Explorer looks awesome. But it doesn't have a full size spare. Only a temp spare. So if you have a flat tire on the highway you are basically sol.

I have the ford expedition 2011 basic! even though it is the basic one it's working really good with me I had it now for nearly 3 years and never had any problem with it! except once when I actually bumped it! and I fixed the problem already! @averageguytested9 жыл бұрын
snowdad hey there! They are both good choices. I have a good friend who has leased 3 pilots and swears by them. I would probably lean towards the pilot if you are buying and in it for the long haul, but if you plan to lease - the Ford will probably give you more tech and luxury options for your buck. I'd test them both - but I'd be happy with either of them!

Back in the day my dad used to buy fords in the early 2000s. Now ever since 2006 when he bought the nissan armada, he started buying japanese cars. He then bought a 2007 toyota camry. The armada has been gone now for a few years but we have kept the camry. Now my dad is looking for a new suv. The suv's that japan has to offer right now seem to out dated. Armada, 4runner, Pilot, and others are ugly but the new Explorer looks awsome. Unfortunately my dad might not like American cars.
