great to know you dont need to spend 300+ to program a key, planning on buying a whole new fob, taking it to walmart cus they have a key cutter machine, getting a new key cutout and js swap out the old motherboard onto the new keyfob

2013 Ford Edge plastic key fab broke in half. Put back together and buttons still work but car says “System Start Fault” Turns out the little black piece inside the fab is the chip and needs to be held near the ignition to start.

i done all that and my 2013 wont start and radio channels are blocked out and my key function is blocked. the only way i can start my truck is aftermarket remote start the insert the key and turn tumbler to run then from there i can press my brake pedal and put into drive

Since this is just a shell replacement the electronics are reused from The original key. You would just need to find a shell that has the button location for remote start and have the key cut. If you are adding a new key programming will be required.

My fob doesn't operate fully, the alarm is the only thing that works on the fob, do I need to purchase another key fob?

do your buttons make a clicking sound, if not then the little clickers that go over the buttons have fallen off and might still be moving around in the key

it is glued, only part that isnt glued is the back piece that they intentionally didnt glue so u could replace the battery
