greetings Kevin from sunny Queensland Australia , hey buddy i am still on this case i can not lose , i appreciate the fact that your business relies on fixing clutches , and good on you mate, when i see 15 or 20klms of snarled up crawling traffic on English motorways , on one can almost feel clutches slipping and shuddering , whilst the person in the Automatic is sitting back comfortably listening to Beethoven or the cricket ,, even serious off roaders in outback Oz are going for autos , especially us older more experienced drivers , cheers Kevin .

Most road rage drivers are rolling in automatic 😁.. one foot has no purpose it wants to kick. that’s why I’m my opinion the long lines of traffic drivers are chilling..because both feet are being worked.. so no need to get angry 🍻🤠

Really enjoy your videos and you set a great example to young people showing someone earning a living doing real man's work. What is the average amount of miles that you find clutches lasting? On my Toyota trucks, I have always been able to get 200 - 250K miles before slippage due to friction disc wear. I just follow the age-old best practices of driving a manual transmission. Never had a throw-out bearing go bad on a Toyota truck either. Is this unusual, or are all Toyota clutches this good?

What’s the bolt you took out at 14.15?? On mine it’s not coming out as where there’s a nut on your mines got a round block that stops it being able to come all the way out. How do I get around this??

Great job. I have a question, i did 2 dies focus mk3 myself. But how do you get this bolt out @15:00 ? In both cases, it could come out, because the DPF was in the way. The DPF would move, so the bolt holding the gearbox could not come out. Can you advise?

I'm not trying to speak for Kevin, just from the angle of having worked on them for 30ish years. It takes an unending want and determination to learn and keep educating yourself. Other than that, you just get in there and do it, and w anything, the more you do something, the easier it becomes.

I bought the xtend clutch system, it looks like yours here in the video. My question is do u need something for the self adjusting mechanism to activate, like a device or something or the centering pin is enough to put it on? Also my springs in the middle, u know the leaf springs are mutch in inside, straigther, is it a problem?

Hi, i did my clutch replace just like you for my mazda 3 1.6 hdi 2009, but my clutch pedal got just a tiny litle bit harder to press in, is it a problem or its normal? Will it get better in time? I did bleed my clutch and changing gears makes no noises. If you still have air in the system it should be easier or harder to press clutch in?

Hi Kevin ,greetings from sunny Queensland Australia , good job on this one , tho , i would not give a ford focus house room , why so many people persist with manual cars i will never know , the modern auto transmission cant be beat , i have driven autos all around Australia , through and over mountains , across desserts , through and over the southern alps in New Zealand chained up over ice and snow ,6 ,8 and 4cyl engines ,all auto, not owned a manual since i was 19 in 1964, autos give a driver full control over vehicle , i have not come across a negative aspect of an auto transmission yet .some small car autos can go 5years without service , cheers mate.

Ohhh Colin .,, the pleasure you get from shifting gears is next to none. A bit like watching paint dry driving autos 😅 A bit like Aryton senna really driving the car rather than the likes of the auto shifters we get nowadays in the sport.

May I know why you didn't choose the clutch as a luk? I had a fomoco clutch and a sachs flywheel fitted to my vehicle. (fomoco had sachs logo in it) I get clutch noise on hills. Should I choose LUK to get rid of this sound?
@WMCS Жыл бұрын
Did you replace both clutch and DMF..?
@ibrahim-tasci Жыл бұрын
Yes, dmf and clutch pad were changed. I also changed the clutch bearing and transmission oil. When starting on a hill, I hear a noise at the clutch point that wasn't there before. New Dmf sachs brand, clutch lining and ball fomoco brand were installed. They are also sachs brand. It's been 1000km, but now I'm thinking of changing the clutch pad again and wearing a luk brand. Do you think this noise will go away if I replace the clutch pad with LUK?

that engine definitely need a clutch upgrade... i have 27.000 miles and i have noise on heels all the time!!! any suggestion for upgrade kit for 1.5 tdci? my car after a small upgrade is 145HP and 35 torque and a K&N filter is going to be add on soon so a lite bit more of torque is about to come out of the engine and the clutch must be a very good one to handle that amount of torque. Thanks for your time.
