I just got the same radio to put into to the same car. Never occurred to me that I have to take off the back of the panel along with the torque screws. This video solved my problem.

@@cako4713 I hope you did not cut the HVAC green motherboard! I bought a Junsun M892D US 9” 2GB+32GB model from an EBay seller from China with US shipping. Received my Android radio quickly but the experience has been a nightmare. The unit did not ship with the correct wiring harness. They did ship one from China that took a month to receive. That harness turned out to be a model that works with the factory backup camera, a bonus! The kit I received did not have included extensions ribbon cables needed when using upper and lower mounting brackets. I in haste started thinking what can I do now to make this work…I cut up the lower mount to use the top and bottom screen mounts, figured out you had to remove the metal heatsink and ribbon cables. I used 3M double sided foam tape to mount the upper bracket to the green motherboard. The back cover I wound up cutting the top off just at the CD tray and had to trim the CD slot internal dust door off. I have mine in but the unit won’t hold correct time, it jumps 4 hours ahead, won’t keep stored radio presets, same with DSP settings. I’ve tried four different CANBUS settings for Ford vehicles, 13 seems to have all steering wheel controls work except voice control, programmed it manually but still not working. They sent me updated firmware but that really did not fix anything, Inlost my iGO North America map, they sent me a link to reinstall, and that was for Europe. Then they sent North America but the copy to Internal memory install was done, run the APK from within the copied file I get an error can not.find SD location. Anyway…the seller is sending me ribbon cables, should have been in the kit to begin with. The memory issue is either Canbus related or firmware? I’m going to run a constant power feed myself from the battery or the under dash fuse panel just as a test to determine the problem. Because if I can get the clock and radio preset problem rectified I’ll be fully happy with my experience.

Just to give you guys an insight on how this thing here gets installed.....You dont have to cut the circuit board.I ran into similar issues. For me after a long struggle with it and going back and forth with the manufacturer I figured to Just remove the heat sink from the back....place your circuit board in and put everything back. Worked just fine! I hope this helps and saves future installers some trouble

hey man did you ever figure out how to keep the steering wheel controls by any chance? I had installed this radio back in november so it didn't come perfect so I might try out to do what you said but i also haven't been able to recover the steering wheel controls.

@@brarami84 Hey......Yes i had a bit of a struggle understanding and making them work. But finally got them working. There is a small connector along with the Canbus and the harness. Make sure that is connected to the back of the radio and then reset your radio.

Muy buen tutorial. Me ayudo a conectar mi radio. Para el aire acondicionado NO CORTAR LA PLACA O BOARD. La placa o board de la radio anterior le quedaba grande pero safe el disipador de calor y puse la board y la tapa trasera negra de la radio anterior por debajo del disipador de calor. Debe hacerlo con mucho cuidado porque hay unos cables pequenos conectados al display que podrian danarse. antes debe rebajar la entrada del CD de la tapa del radio viejo. Yo lo hice con una lima y solo con rebajar 1/16 es suficiente. Al fijar el disipador los huecos no coinciden y lo fije con tornillos pequenos que vienen con la radio nueva. Estos tornillos no pasan profundo y no danan la placa. Luego conecte todo como viene en el libro de instrucciones. En el carro los conectores le quedan bien. Lo mas trabajoso seria llevar la camara de retroceso y los puertos USB. Todo funciona bien. GPS, mandos al volante, bluetooth, youtube, etcetera.

Mine won’t let me change the speed thing to mph from km. I hit the button and it says it’s on there but it doesn’t change. And the steering wheel controls don’t all work.

Hi, I'm from Ireland and about to install a similar head unit into my fusion/mondeo. I thought this was a very informative video (finally somebody explaining tips on installing head unit using integrated A/C controls from original radio bezel). Great job...I have a couple of questions though.. 1. Did you use the usb connection in the arm rest (linked to sync system)? 2. Did Apple Carplay/Android Auto work when using the arm rest usb connection point?.....Again thanks for great video....Gerard

I purchase this android radio and I cant seem to get the AC to work. Doesnt blow cold air, heat works fine tho. I checked my connections and everything seem to be good. I dont know what to do. Took it the Ford dealer, $600 down the drain with no solution. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The only way, your board won't fit is If you have auto A/C. If you have manual A/C then it should fit fine

I walked into a shop and asked about an Aux port, 20 year old scrub called me a boomer and told me to use Bluetooth. I'm 40, so obviously I don't care what somebody says to me anymore. As an audiophile, my gear will always be wired for maximum sound quality. Any direction you can possibly point me to will be very appreciated.
