Tour of the fit! Despite being a base model I really did enjoy the time I spent with this little car.

Hello Jakeman. Its 2020...5yrs + since your review on the 2103 Honda FIT. would you still recommend it in this day and age esp for someone looking for an affordable yet reliable car?

Would you still recommend it now? I am getting one with 80k miles and it's for 14,000. What do you think?

I bought one 3 weeks ago (5 speed though) and bc it didnt have the manual, Im trying to learn all it's secrets ;) Thanks! The drivers seat is not my FAV, but I'm actually getting used to it. I'm someone that HATESSSSS the stupid lumbar thing and I always release it and it took me a week to STOP looking for it, lol! It does wind a bit high on the highway, but then again I had a '90 Civic Hatchback 4 speed and always thought that car could really use a 5th gear, so it doesn't seem all that bad to me in the Fit. I actually learned to drive stick in that car after I bought it not even able to test drive hahaa!!! My mom had to drive it, then teach me...Ive had all standards since then except for my last car (Toyota Echo, I LOVE my small cars) and the Civic is still hands down the hardest one I had to master and I certainly did that. It caught WICKED high, I mean like RIGHT BEFORE you let off the clutch it caught...EVERYONE that drove it stalled it, lol! Best car to learn on because everything after that was a breeze. ESP after having to drive to Boston 4 days a week, peak traffic for 6 months in the summer with no AC, hahaa!!! I not only learned how to drive in crazy traffic, but crazy BOSTON traffic in a standard! Loved Honda ever since, but just hadnt come across one when I was in need, well until 3 weeks ago! Just happy to be back in a Honda Hatchback! ;)

mine looks just like that, I had floor mats Its Taffeta White. And until I just watched your video, I never noticed the cup holder nor did I know about the second upper glove compartment with USB. So far my 2013 is better than my 2008 sport fit I coud walk thru the back seat and yes I put my bike back there and camp and slept in back.

I sat in a 2015 Fit today and was turned off by the front seat. I am 6'0'' and the seat just couldn't go back far enough for me to feel right. Was disappointed because I really wanted one!

6:03 "It FITS very good" see what you did there^^ and btw the fit does come in vtec dude the 1.5 version is vtec, the 1.3 version is not, anyway cool vid you made there, helped a lot in deciding about buying a fit, especially with the "smugglers compartment" lol it might come in handy if you want to hide "cough" illegal "cough" stuff

Great job dude. It was also funny when you mentioned the messiness in the car and introduced it "Krispy Kream hat" etc and you just go with it , LOL.

It would be so cool if they had a fit SI.

Why so critical? I’d be glad to be riding. I have one almost exactly the same. I love mine. If I wanted luxury I’d upgrade to a Lexus. They all take you from point A to point B.

I'm a fan of Honda Fit, but my concern is when one want to convert to run on CNG (I mean to run both on gasoline and CNG). How can one manage the space for gas cylinder and other conversions' modifications. Or, Does Honda produced CNG Powered Honda Fit? My name is Muhammad Aminu Abubakar commenting from Nigeria. Due to governments' policies changes, the government directed importation of CNG powered vehicles and conversion of existing vehicles in the country CNG powered vehicles.

If you live in the rust belt avoid white and light colors the snow and ice melts slow and rusts the car faster dark colors heat up in the sun and melt and dry the car panels my white chevy cavalier rusted badly but my brothers dark blue same year same model car is still going strong very little rust if you live in the south or southwest white and light colors keep your car cooler in the sun you know that too.

Drive one in manual and it's like night and day difference!
@Jakeman2164210 жыл бұрын
Driven them! Its a good gearbox but the automatic honestly makes the car feel a lot less high strung and rubber bandy and overall just smoother in daily driving.
@johnnydevil66610 жыл бұрын
i guess so, i have driven both.. to me this car in stick feels like my EG civics its very reminiscent, i dont understand why the auto revs at lower rpms on highway speed than the manual, thats a bit annoying..other than that these are fantastic cars and cant wait for the HR-V.

***** Oh hell no! Neither of my parents have ever driven my car. They were both off work by the time I got home with the fit and the next day was my dad's day off and we got the Jetta back around noon. Basically I just had a free car to toy around with for a day.

I wouldn't get the new fit only because it's a CVT. After owning a car with a CVT, I will never get another car with one. Sad to say Honda is bringing in CVTs with the new cars.
@gunter72997 жыл бұрын
THEUTUBEVIDZ jokes on you the newer cvt Hondas are good
@TofuCate7 жыл бұрын
what's wrong with CVT? I think it's nice.
@christopherdominguez845 Жыл бұрын
6 Years & Your right CVT sucks ass they brake down so fast sometimes they don’t idk why they put that in if it wasn’t so expensive to repair it then be all good but it’s like a new car that’s why people end up just getting a new car

Can a bike easily fit in the back with the seats down?
@carsanmar134 жыл бұрын
Oh hell yeah. Might look small outside but it is really big inside
@jeepguy9510 жыл бұрын
The only thing I didn't like about this gen Fit is that the seats were firm.
@Jakeman2164210 жыл бұрын
My back hurt after driving this car for a few hours. I honestly think the car with the best seats in this class is surprisingly the older model Versa hatchbacks.
