They seem better than most. I see valve body issues more than anything. Subarus sometimes have diff noise coming from the front of the transmission. Thanks for the comment!!

I’m installing a rebuild transmission this week in a 2015 Nissan rogue do I have to reprogram the transmission? Or I have to sent it to the dealer to get it programmed?

If you’re installing one from Nissan, then you should probably get it programmed for the warranty but if somebody else built it try to drive it see if it works. We call a guy and he comes in programs at our shop.

About to do mine in the driveway this weekend, made it 205,000 miles on the original trans. Cheapest rebuilt one I could find was 2700$ before tax and shipping with 1 year warranty. Hoping it works out

Done these before at my shop. We usually drop the entire subframe w/eng. and trans together and do all the hard work on the floor. Seems easier to me....have you tried it both ways?

I have not our bosses yell at us when we pull engines to pull transmissions. I find these are pretty easy. The pathfinders fight me with the axle but other than that, they seem gravy.

If you use a used one prob not. New one will need programmed in order to maintain the warranty.

So im looking at a 2013 rogue with 116k miles with no issues at the moment... should i stay away from it or what? Im mechanically inclined and can do any maintenence it needs if thats all it takes to keep it from having issues

I hate to say one way or the other not sure how much they’re asking that could be a good deal. It could last for a long time I’m not sure CVT transmissions are prone to failure and we see a lot, but that doesn’t mean they all end up at the shop.

The CVT transmission in my 2014 Rogue SL AWD just went down. Exactly 140,014 miles on it. Car in great condition for its age but it will cost me $6,560.53 to get it running again. The new transmission will come with a 2 year / 24,000 miles warranty on parts and labor. I have no choice but to get it done. However, next time I will get either Toyota or Honda.
