Wanted to get the xb900 but couldnt find any review on them online and although a lot of people said the they're identical to the 800 and they're not really gd sounding i took the risk and bought them and i really love they're sound quality and their bass specially on treble booster, now looking forward to get the 610

Was gonna upgrade to one of these from my XB500's then I saw they were on ear and read reviews that they were not at all as good as the previous generation, decided to get the Logitech UE 6000's now those are bass headphones!

I picked the X10s up about five months ago, having bought a bunch of other mid-fi to Hifi headphones but many didn't really offer any deep bass. I'm more into tight bass, listening to mainly rock and pop music usually, but still I wanted a more bass-heavy experience without having muddy sounding phones. I don't really love Beats, I have auditioned them. Got the X10s, a clearance pair, plugged 'em in, and I cannot believe how good they sound for the money, and the sheer amount of bass they deliver. My top headphones are usually the Hifiman He400Is, and they are wonderful, but the planars don't have the deep bass the Sonys do, more just tight clear bass and overall clarity and balance. If I want total brain-eating bass, I go for the X10s.

You can use faux sound with a custom kernel if you are rooted to turn down the analogue gain.

I have had the XB800 and currently have the XB920. They're pretty much the same audio wise as far as I could tell, but I appreciate your thorough comparison. I use them with a FiiO X3ii and FiiO E12, and HOLY CRAP. Feels like I have a sub-woofer strapped to my head.

Xb 400 have PASSIVE noise cancellation like the bose oe2 and they are really confortable, its like the sound just keeps sticked on your ears.

I have XB600, and i love it. From a good source it sounds very powerful, but basically it has quite strong boost at 200-250 Hz too near the other low frequencies. When i controlling the 125 Hz with -3 dB and 250 Hz with -5 dB in equalizer, my favourite 30 and 60 Hz range are shooting out very nicely. ;-)

on the sony japan website the xb610(same as the X05s) sell for 13000 yen which is around 122 dollars and that's 80 dollars less than what you pay in the US. The XB 920s cost 25000 yen, which is 247 dollars still a lot less than the 299 plus tax price in the US.

I agree with the X series being pretty good for the price.Crisp lows and decent highs. These blow dr dre beat solos out the park in every way, including the look.

hi hifiguy528; there is also another product called XB200 on the very low end of the line (and also the cheapest). I have searched all over the internet, but there are only spanish reviews of the product which made me think that it is marketed only for developing countries with lower income. Anyway, for the price the quality is very good (especially the bass) that my wife seized my XB200. So now I will buy an XB600 in retaliation. Do you have any idea about XB200 quality? I haven't checked out 600 yet, so I cannot make a comparison.

I took apart a pair of x10 and xb800 because I wanted the drivers from them and they seem to use the exact same driver. So if the x10 and xb920 are the same headphone that means that the xb920 is also the same as the xb800?

Oh yea man, when I first got them I was a bit disappointed as the highs sounded much more blunt than the xb700's I have, I also had an e6 Fiio at the time so bass was identical with 700's and 1000's. now I got a Fiio E12 Mont Blonc on the 1000's. oh man. Bass gets real loud and low, just what I like. I don't regret getting these. I'm a bass head. If u don't like them then yur not a bass head, it's all about bass when Ur a bass head hahaha.

I'm a bass head too, hahhahaa, but in my country xb1000's are very expensive and there aren't Fiio's headphones, so I´ll try to get xb600's or 400's. I´ll Deal With It LOL.

7 months ago the 1000's were around there lowest price. I paid 260 USD imported from Korea, now thier getting really rare and really exspensive for a set of new ones on the Internet. I also have the X10's (ones in top right of video), also bought those real cheap for 101 USD New in black silver color. X10 are probably most impressive on bass as for hearing all the bass frequencies due to thier really effective ear cup structure that sends all bass to Ur ears directly. Same power handling as old 700's but louder bass due to ear cup on x10's. the Fiio I'm talking about are headphone amplifiers haha. If Ur not running full on Equalizers and Amps like I do a 30 mm should be good, if u get a 40 mm use good EQ or a nice Lil amp like the Fiio e6, runs about 30 bucks, its a really nice amp.

I don't know how you can say that this lineup is a high quality, they are made completely from cheap plastic. I have the xb600 and I can say that the build quality sucks, the plastic squeaks a lot while you're listening to them and it's really annoying.

These line of headphones were more fashioned based in my opinion and less in sound , so I didn't like them in my opinion.
