I am sure the "take a break" message is also present in the original Toyota setup. You can disable the monitoring of this by the car using the settings on the screen on the dial cluster with the steering wheel controls. I guess the message is passed over canbus and picked up by the replacement head unit.

I have a different maker. But I think you need to turn on your fan because I have to set my fan to always on. When you drive for certain hours and the system becomes hot that when you receive that notification

Does this unit use the factory microphone for phone calls or do you need to connect a new microphone and then mount it somewhere?

The kit comes with an external microphone that you can stick to the dashboard, but I didn't like it. Fortunately, there is a built-in mic on the android head unit

Were you able to fix your compass dynamics?

Unfortunately no. Installing the newer COM decoder made the compass appear but it's always pointing north (Not dynamic)

Thanks for making your videos. I own a 2015 rav xle , and my radio oem is not working. I am considering installing this unit in my car . Forgive me I am not a computer whiz lol. Does all of the icons on the radio screen appear when you turn on the radio automatically? Or you need to sink your android phone to the head unit? thank for your input it is greatly appreciated.

All the apps are prebuilt into the head unit and you can also download your own apps using the built in google play store. It's like having an android tablet on your dashboard. You can also project supported apps from your phone (Android or iOS) using Android auto or Apple Carplay. I rarely connect my phone to the head unit since I have installed my favorites apps onto it. It connects to wifi and you can use your phone's as a access point to browse the web.

I did not order the back up camera. This head unit connects directly in to the existing stock camera. It's basically plug and play. However, if your car does not have a backup camera, there is a version with a camera module

The call quality is slightly lower than the original head unit but not too bad. That's why the kit comes with a wired external mic that you can stick anywhere on the dash. I didn't use it because I didn't like a wire coming out the head unit

Did u ever figure out how to disable the 2 hour driving popup/warning. Also is there front camera support? My goal is to set it up for hdmi input so my friends can play on the head unit when we’re on a road trip

Hi, I'm still not able to disable the 2 hours warning. Yes, there is a front camera support. There are two yellow RCA connectors one for front camera and one for rear. Some variations have three with an extra one for an auxiliary camera

RAV 4 2014 XLE- I installed it today after my OEM Toyota entune system broke- stuck in boot loop. The Sygav install was easy and everything works apart from the steering wheel control. I can go next and previous songs; however, I cannot adjust the volume using the steering wheel control. Any ideas?

You have to go to one of the many settings apps at the home screen and it will be on “steering wheel controls” and you program them

The company I bought the Head unit from (SYGAV) sent it to me after I reached out to them about some info in the gauge cluster not showing. The kit came with one, but for some reason I had to swap it out. Cant disable that warning. Its in the car computer. Its monitoring your driving. The computer is right. Driving into the other lane alot will set it off.

Yes, it's even better quality because it scales up to much the bigger screen. The dynamic guiding lines on the reverse screen also scale up and work perfectly without any extra accessories or tweaking. @YvonSmart it won’t turn on. The touch button (volume, power, ect does light up) but the screen itself isn’t on.

@@TheBombbeasterWire harness may have popped out if it wasn't secured. you should check the wiring. But reset it first. The reset button is inside a tiny hole on the top left of the screen. Use a pin to press it

Not on the car I have. Mine is only adjusted from the back by holding the button. Not sure if it supports on screen control on different trims

HOW hard would it be to fit one of those into a 2012 RAV4. I'm buying a 2012 with V-6 and it has NO tech BS in it right now-- but I'd be willing to do some custom work if it is merely the fit-- and the electronic stuff would work.. WHat do you think?? You've done this-- so how hard do you think it would be to put this where a normal CD player/stereo stuff is in the 2012???

There is a version for the 2012 V6, no custom work necessary. It will just have less functionalities due to older model

Sygav is the most expensive, there are others equally as good for 60% cheaper. Sygav is one of the first to create android for Toyota. sadly they do not update android and their MCU only had one update in the 8 years ive had it

@@filipino_GMA You are right, mine is still running Android 5.1.1 and no update since. I don't think there will be an O.S update to newer Android versions. It's smooth and glitch free though
