Danny D- 'What's he doing? No way can he even hit that ball! This shot is crazy Jason doesn't know what he's doing here!' Jayson banks ball right in.

not every player sees every shot the other sees, mainly when youre not at the table hes a commentator hes supposed to do that. Go read his book "Road Player" great book and he was a great player back in the day.

I enjoy Dannys commentating. Even when he's wrong, he gets you thinking. And sometimes it just shows a difference in style. Danny talks about the game and strategy, which is what i want to hear from a commentator, not stuff about other events and pool politics.

Here in this match, it was all about Danny...'my shot this, my shot that....I called this I called that'....whatever Danny.

+blunty gagnon Couldn't agree more. I mean I preferred Billy and Grady to Danny L. but I want to think about the patterns when I watch matches, Danny is one of the few commentators knowledgable enough to provide that. All these commenters complaining about Danny being a "know-it-all," lol, sorry about 9 ball guys, there's usually a right way and a wrong way to run out.

I think Danny is a fine commentator, alongside Incardona. I've learned much from Danny especially with regards to the mental game of pool.

To the people who throws Danny under the bus, he probably knows moore about this game then all you guys combined, and for a man who has played the game for many years he has a big heart and passion for it, so why dont let him express that and give the bystanders some tips and pointers, from his point of wiew, its a harmless thing to do in this crazy world, isnt it???

The "old guy know it all".. is Danny DiLiberto. He's in the boxing hall of fame, and the BCA hall of fame. He knows what he is talking about. I used to love listening to Danny D and Billy Incardona commentary, always good for a laugh.

Danny Deliberto was a true road player when gambling was a way of life, read his book called `Road Player`,true legend and a killer at straight pool and one pocket, today people think theres only one game,9ball,they are sadly mistaken.

Great game. Pity Jayson didn't make it out in the end. But Shane showed in this that he's a real champion. For me it was his composure that won it for him. He has great control of his nerves. Jayson lost it a bit and didn't concentrate enough. I've been watching his game for a while now and I think he's one of the most natural talents I've seen in ages. His only weakness is his control of his own nerves. But that will change the more he plays guys like Shane. He had to lose here but it will help his game in the long run.

Just turned it on and already the older dudes voice I'm finding really annoying. If anything they should turn down the commentators voice or tell him to talk less and in a lower hush tone. I went to comment and I see I'm not the only one disturbed. I figure it is going to be like this, so I'll find video to watch without the old geezer waffling on.

absolutely a great game!!! The only one that I know on top of my head for being another high end match (for play not commentating) was the match of Earl against Shane on the 10 foot challenge. That was an awesome match!

I really like Danny D. and always enjoy his commentary. Irascible and opinionated. I like that. But he makes me smile too--he loves safety play so much that he almost seems to forget the reason for it. Shaw takes ball in hand and then two shots later he's blown it and Danny says he's got a good safe. But what's the ultimate goal of a safe? It's to get ball in hand. So if ball in hand isn't doing you any good...maybe I'm missing something but a good safe is just a means to an end, not a good thing in and of itself. Seems to me, anyway. But I'm just a beginner.

With over 20 years of playing pool I can say that I have never missed a shot. Every ball went exactly where I was aiming. It just seems that I was not always "aiming" at a pocket. Not where I thought I was aiming but where I actually was aiming. LOL
