2014 - 15 Qashqai Folding Mirror Module from AlliExpress

Quick one showing the way i wired in the folding mirror module...not fun!
The 2014 to 2015 Qashqai didn't have this function but it was added to later modules - found in the vehicle settings - mirrors menu.

Hi Dan, I’ve got a 15 plate (31/07/21) 1.5 dci Tekna and it has the auto fold on locking/unlocking mirrors on it as standard. On a totally different subject I’ve just purchased and fitted a space saver spare wheel, do you know if one has them slightly deflated for normal fit in the boot? Then use the compressor to fully inflate for actual use when needed? Fully inflated my one lifts the floor up slightly reducing the gap where the parcel shelf can be stored a bit.

Yeah i've heard that the space saver isn't a great fit. Unfortunately you're only option is to have the floor boards on the raised bits.

My mirrors don't fold by it self after locking the car what could be the issue mine is 63 plate nissan

How do you test the black wire? Do you have to cut into all the black wire to test which one it is? Can you take the plug out that the black wire are attached to? To then test it?

Unfortunately yes I had to test each one for a pulse one locking.

FYI, the link in your description now takes you to a module for the J10. Not sure if there's any difference. There is a module for the early J11 at www.aliexpress.com/item/33024602945.html though typically it's more expensive.

I got a genuine nissan part for Xmas and I've recently had it fitted by an auto electrician, However the Car key doesn't open or close the mirrors but if I'm in the car and I put the ignition on the mirrors open, When I get out the car and close the door somehow the mirrors close, like yourself though the instructions were pointless, Does it sound like the electrician has also wired them up wrong because the key doesn't work

That’s one of two ways Nissan mirrors fold/unfold from the factory, it’s either down to how the kit is set up or how it’s wired My wife has a New Juke with folding mirrors on the dash options and the options are unfold on unlock or ignition and fold on lock

My j10 automatically lock the doors after setting off, as i`m sure the j11 does , does this mean that the mirrors would fold when driving.

The J11 doesn't have that feature unfortunately. Not the UK version anyway

Did you manage to get it working? if you did, can you test if it would be possible to lock the car while driving, without the mirrors closing? Thanks!

Yes. The way to do that is to press the fold button before locking.

Just a simple electrical tester with a continuity function

2017. J11 also doesn't have automatic fold, only on button

Hi Dan on my QQ J11 can I have day light on top of my head lights instead of the arrows or do I need new headlights can you advice please

Hi bud, do you mean the newer style where the DRL is across the top of the light? I suppose you could get the led strips that attach to the top of the lights, I believe someone else has done that. I don't *think* the newer headlight units fit the pre facelift but I can't find anything showing someone trying it.

i have put some QQ plates on my door sills they are like yours but mine are loosening whats the best adhesive i could use to keep them stuck down
