@@HeadlightRevolution great video I have a question so I have the same situation on my 2016 tundra when headlights are off and I turn the signal I do get hyper flash as expected but when I turn on headlights on and turn signals the do not blink no more they just stay on so before I put the resisters I wanted to know if that is normal and I don't install the resisters for nothing

According to the manual you do not have to remove the grill to replace the light bulbs or markers. You have to go through the fender well. Turn steering wheel accordingly to make it easy to access the fender well.

Here's a couple of questions..... I have a 2011 Tundra, where the turn blinker light, when it isn't being used as such, acts as a daytime running headlamp. Is it correct to assume that the purple wire is for the purpose of the daytime running headlamp? Also, and this maybe a dumb question, that same purple wire - that light only comes on when the engine is turned on, correct?

Hey There! Great question, that is correct! The purple wire is for your DRLs, and is only active when the vehicle is running/in use. :)

Use 3M automotive insulation piercing connectors for the splice. No stripping just insert conductors, squeeze and go.

Question, I have factory installed DRL leds in my grill. I installed these led turn signal bulbs. Now when I turn on right turn signal the DRLS flash with the turn signal. It only happens with the right signal and only when the headlights are off. The resistor is wired to the white/black wire and the red wire. What could be the problem?

I own a 2014 1794 MODEL Toyota Tundra... only has two wires on front turn signals not three... Just bridge the resister wire that came with kit? Mine are a Pink wire and a Black and White wire... empty spot on third area...Thank You in advance

Going to be installing a set of switch backs on my 2015 crewmax. I have the factory led drl lights so the front park lights do not come on at all. It is s dual filament bulb, but only the signal side lights up. Any idea on how to get the parking light to turn on?

I installed resistors on the turn signal bulb for switchbacks and now my drls for my taillights don’t work and neither do my foglights. I just tried to install switch back bulbs on my 214 tundra. The DRL are only white when the headlights are on. The DRL only stay Amber. I see in you narrative that is what happens to the tundra. Is there a way to change it so the DRL are white?

I had just finish installing the turn signal on my 2015 tundra it stayed white for a little bit then as soon as I took it out for a drive come back home set it on parking the white went away ???? And the Amber was on and stayed on ???? Any idea to what happen ???? I did everything right !!! I would hate to take it apart again if it's a defect. I bought the GT-R switchback lighting hoping my DRL would stay white not Amber or else I would of just kept my old stalk😠

That is common with the Tundras, and that is how it is supposed to function. This is due to how the Tundra's DRL system is wired up. When the headlights are off, the DRL will be amber, but as soon as the headlights are turned on, it will be white.

Colbee Barrett Unfortunately no. The circuitry in the Tundra while it is running is what keeps the switchback function from working.

So I have a weird one here... I have replaced ALL lights in my 2015 Tundra SR5 CrewMax with LED lights. All the lights light up, however, the LED front and rear blinkers hyperflashed so I installed some resistors on the front blinkers. Now, the front and back don't hyperflash when I have my running lights OFF or the headlights OFF...BUT as soon as I turn ON my running lights or headlights the LED blinkers hyperflash! Got any ideas???

That's very strange, You should definitely do resistors on each turn signal that you've replaced though. That can eliminate problems like this. If you upgraded 4 bulbs, You should install 4 resistors.

+Hashirama Senju Yes, parallel with the bulb keeps it in series with the circuit. Essentially, you could wire your old bulb in parallel with the LED and it would do the same thing. They are both resistors. Measure the resistance of your original bulb and you can put together your own kit very cheaply.

+electropentatonic when you put the resistors in parallel you are decreasing the impedance...that would cause excessive current draw to the electrical system. From your response and the video you essentially want the same load impedance from the stock to aftermarket swap. How do the Tundra's electrical system see the impedance changes when the high beam is in operation? Thanks.

+Hashirama Senju Impedance is an AC characteristic. If you don't offer resistance in the DC circuit overcurrent will occur. In an AC increasing resistance adds to overall power usage. DC circuits are slightly different, increasing resistance limits current pull.

Apparently it is due to how the tundra sends the lights signals. If you read the disclaimer in the video description it explains the problem.

I am really disappointed with this company , I bought these LEDs for my 2015 TUNDRA , Installed them thinking they were going to work flawless like the ones in the video , Guess what they only turn white when headlights come on , but on DRL mode they are orange ? Email company , thinking I did something wrong with my installation , Finally I was email and told they were aware of this problem ? I think they need to re do this video , now I have to spend money to snd them back plus the $9.00 dollars for the original shipment .

Scam . It’s not working on my 2017 Tundra, it’s works only if ignition off ,when you turn ignition on it’s change for Amber and resistor ower heated , work only when headlights on . I spend $80 dollars for garbage, same on ebay for $ 30 .
