If you have the longer version are you able to cut the wires and they still work with the sequential startup pattern

If you have the headlight version yes you can cut at certain points. If you have the hood version you cannot cut.

Red wire is connected to Parking Light. Does this mean DRLs work only when you are driving with the Parking Light on? What about the Rear Parking Lights, do they too have to remain on to keep the DRLs on.

Yes. It will work to whatever the power source it's connected to.

Yeah. I just push behind the harness in the correct wire. I will suggest to mabe add some liquid tape to prevent corsion.

Great video. What wiring method would you recommend for a car that doesn't have DRL(therefore no DRL wire). I'm not confident with the fuse box stuff nor looking to use the charging port as I connect other things there. I am leaning towards connecting the white light to the fog lights (willing to keep them on if not a bad idea) then connect the yellow to the turn signals. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

You can tap directly to fog light wire or parking light wire. Just make sure you water proof the wire connection with electrical tape or something to prevent corrosion.

I would say not as bright as the stock headlights but may as bright as the stock DRL's.

Sounds like you have a different one. If you don't have the yellow wire it does not have the turn signal.

Connect the black wire to ground or an unpainted bolt, red wire to positive of your parking lights or DRL and yellow wire to your turn signals. You may need to extend the wires to reach.

Your parking lights will work or headlights. However it will only turn on when your parking lights or headlights are on. Try tapping into a radio fuse or cigarette fuse

Hi there! I have a slightly older toyota, but i don’t have DRL’s stock. Would I just wire into the nromal headlight wire? Also, I have very bad with wiring, but i don’t understand what you did with the yellow wires. would it be okay to just splice them in normally? Thank you so much!!

Yes you can wire to the normal headlight. When you turn the headlight on the LED strip will turn on as well. You can alternatively find a fuse that turns on when the vehicle turns on and tap into that. Now you have DRL's. Yes you can splice them just make sure you use electrical tape or liquid tape to seal and waterproof your wiring.

@gantoniom9615 try testing by using a battery. Tap the black to a negative and yellow to the positive. This is to make your your lights work

I noticed I have a pair of Fog lights that have been removed but the connections are still there, there is a white and black from the old fog light connection, I just want the white DRL light not the Amber to work so the current amber hooked to the car will work via its OEM, so based on this which wires do I connect to the old Fog light connectors which are black and white and will it work if I only connect the DRL white not the amber. Yes you can. Make sure you use a heat shink tube or liquid electrical tape to waterproof the connection. Then it will be safe.

Hello, I have the same DRL strip. I can make the white light turn on by tapping the red and black on my parklights but the turn light (yellow) doesn't work when I tap it on my turn signal positive wire.

When you tap the yellow wire to a positive is the black wire still connected? I would test directly to the battery terminals. Yellow to positive and black to negative.

It looks great but issue with this kind of install is during pressurized car wash. Personnel should be aware of that sticker.

Yes. With the hood closed it should be fine as it lies in between the hood and the headlight. If you pressure wash with the hood open, then you run the risk of the sticker peeling off.

That would be difficult. Nowadays power door locks are connected to a module which is interconnected to all the other locks.

For the first time use in the first car. No issues at all. Sticks right on and stays. After removing the adhesive to transfer to another car it is not reusable. I will buy more 3M tape so I can reuse.

The video is nice but incomplete. I put it on my car (Audi A6) and although it has daylight, I wanted to make it more interesting. BUT surprise. If you leave more light on the hazard light, it goes out of sync and looks awful. If you have passed this phase, please make a video and teach us too. Success.
