No bolts. I used axle bolts to help push the stub shaft out.

Hey nice video…i have the same problem;/ how did u fill the oil in the gearbox where is the fill plug? And how many liter did u put in?

Fill plug is next to passenger side cv axle and I believe it’s 3/4 of a quart.

Hi mate it’s easy take out differental,it’s enough room there? Cos I’m wondering if I have to take out whole box

You’ll need a stubby t40 but as long as you remove the stub shaft before you remove bolts for differential that’s there’s plenty of room. I did mine without dropping the box.

The problem was at the flange? Or at the bearing? Sorry i didn’t understand. I have a vertical and lateral play on the flange from the right side.

It’s definitely bearing wear. I added a shim but I believe it made the bearing wear more. I just change the diff fluid every oil change now.

If you’re talking about the bearing race, mine just dropped out. It was very cold so maybe that had something to do with it.

I didn’t buy a new deferential. I can’t find anything besides seals and the stub shaft. I need bearings and can’t get those either. You can get a used transmission like I did but it had the same issue.

I’ve never fully gassed it but if you’re having that issue I’d look at transmission, engine and differential mounts.

That sounds more like a bad CV joint or the rubber damper at the end of the transmission that connects to the driveshaft.

@@Halffast719 i have repalced bof front halfshafts, driveshaft , engine mounts only thing i see the right part off front differential who conected with right halfshaft has a movement when move by heand

Do you hear a whining noise when you drive at high speed then let off? These transmissions are known for having bad front differential bearings because Audi and VW say they don’t need servicing. Lifetime sealed unit.

@@Halffast719 no i dont hear that noise because i know how is the noise if a bad bearing its more like something shakes the car in the front part Cant be the transmission or the part of diff or transferbox inside of transmission? I suppose that because the the part of transmission itself disks and gears are ok Because are fitting correctly without knock noise
