I'm pretty sure it's an LT1 engine in the new corvette. The LT4 is going into the ZO6.

Yup, my bad! LT1, of course. Odd that GM went with the LT1 designation when the old iron block V8s in the C4 were also LT1 (and later LT4).

The new Corvette is awesome, the looks as you would expect from a corvette, performance again as you would expect from a corvette but handling and comfort are much better than the C6. The people at Top Gear have just drooled over the vette and you can read the new magazine out now , which features all the best cars head to head driving over terrain suited for only the best...corvette comes out with amazing congratulations to Chevy. What makes the vette so cool is the price and the fact that its the base corvette. It's faster than a 911 and better brakes and handling than some super cars. The Z06 version is better again and can't wait for the monster ZR1 version!!!

1: I think its the LT1 not LT4. 2: Corvette's have always had Latest Technology, just look up every new (new Gen) Corvette GM made, My old 86 Vette has Bosch ABS, Limited Slip, Bosch Fuel Injection, All the MPG instant and Average and Live, Independent Suspension ,Auto dimming Lights and the list goes on.

The #Porsche 911 only has 400 HP! So the #Corvette should be faster. But on the flip side, the Bavarian car will hold its value unlike the Vette

There are sportscars that are more powerful than a 911 and are still slower. The Corvette may have more power but the 911 is about 300lbs lighter, and the model they tested had a DSG if I recall correctly. According to KBB the Corvette is #5 as far as car resale value out of all the cars sold here, the 911 isn't even in the top 10 so... Maybe you're not in the US and it's a different story for you.

The camaro is a big seller because of its looks. Daniel Shrif Very comfortable (much more so than the C6), at least with the optional magnetic ride control dampers. I haven't tried the C7 without those dampers, but I assume it'd be a bit rougher riding without them.

I'm 6-ft tall and found the Z51 very comfy. Seats are mega adjustable, heated and cooled in the trim level we had. I could cruise all day in comfort mode without fatigue. Very little engine noise at highway speeds in 7th gear and excellent fuel economy. I'd drive cross-continent in this thing without a second thought.
