I went to get a new secondary battery and they said I needed to go to someone to scan it to except the new one battery

I was told my auxiliary battery was bad but they could not install or clear the codes due to some law or something that only a macanic or a dealer for GM could do this is this true.

Interested. My client has no issues after new auxiliary battery installed.
