Great video, I watched a couple of others just to be sure I knew what to do and your the only one that mentions lining up the caliper cylinder on the brake pad. Thanks for posting hopefully job will go well.

Great video, doing my brothers 2008 grand Picasso ready for taxi plate. Turned in to proper nightmare. Fronts were easy, new disc and pads fitted no issues, drop links too. Rear drivers side caliper sized solid, got one from euro car parts. 127 sovs. Fitted it, will not bleed up, found out online it needs a diagnostic tool of a certain type to be plugged in to bleed the brakes. Managed to suck some brake fluid through using vacuum pump. All sorts of warning lights now on, booked in to Peugeot citroen dealership to sort it out on Thursday. Never known such a faff to just bleed brakes. Won't be touching this car again. Been quoted over 200 pound to get brakes bled. 😕😕😕😕😕😕

@@TEAMR4ULTV all sorted and back working as a private hire taxi. Took it to Citroen dealer Edge Lane Liverpool. They did a great job, also pointed out lower ball joint a bit loose too. Might have failed its taxi plate so replaced both and for good measure both drop links. Flew through its taxi plate, no problems. Must give a good mention to Peugeot Citroen Edge Lane Liverpool for fitting us in at short notice, doing a great job sorting my brothers car, gave it a wash and valet before giving us it back too. 👍👍👍👍 Has to be clean for taxi plate so saved us some work. Yer normally avoid main dealers but this time they did a great job for a reasonable £207.00 had the car most of the day. Not bad at all and as you know without diagnostic tool bleeding these types of modern Abs brakes is probs impossible. Thanks for your video buddy, was very helpful 😊😊😊😊

Great video mate! Ive got a handbrake fault on a semi auto model which means ive got no way to secure the vehicle. Did notice a little grinding the day before when reversing from the brakes before it threw up the hand brake fault. Do you think it could be a simple case of removing the servo and cleaning up the the caliper, maybe winding the caliper out with it removed and cleaning it, then winding it back and refitting?

Thanks so much for this video! I've seen a few others, but yours is the only one that's pointed out that the electronic parking braking unit needs winding back in DIFFERENT directions for each side (3:25), and that's quite an important detail! Others have said that the EPB unit should then be tweaked 'out' again after the pads have been fitted, until the pads are touching the discs, before then refitting the motor - is this necessary? I'd have thought not, 'cos if you gently pump the brake pedal to bring out the hydraulic pistons first, and the pads make contact that way, then the EPB should be in the correct starting position then? Anyone know for sure? Thanks.
@Pityssakes Жыл бұрын
Ok, having done this job - on my 2015 Picasso C4 with Bosch brakes - I can confirm: (1) BOTH EPB 'pistons' need to be screwed back CLOCKWISE. You can confirm this on your own brakes by trying them each way and observing the hydraulic piston - do the opposite of what makes them come out! (2) The EPB motors on mine were secured to the callipers using 5mm HEX (Allen) screws and not Torx - took me a few minutes to work out why the hell the latter wouldn't fit properly! (3) It is absolutely ok to unclip the EPB cable connector for this job, and that makes life MUCH easier (provided, I understand, you do not start up the ignition during the job until it's complete and the EPB is re-connected). Cover the two open ends with tape - there will be a fair amount of dust flying around. (4) When pressing back the hydraulic pistons, do NOT 'wind' them back, but press them straight in - they simply do not need to be 'wound' (the EPB does this bit), and you'll also run the risk of distorting the piston's rubber garter. (5) Once the new pads are fitted, pressed snugly against the disc, and the calliper replaced, take up the slack using the EPB piston by winding it anti-clockwise to bring the brake piston forward. You can judge it's far enough by the disc starting to bind (so back it off - clockwise - a good half-turn or so until it's free-running again), or just do it enough to take up any obvious gap, and the EPB will do the rest later once applied. Then turn the ignition back on (WITHOUT pressing the clutch to start the engine!) and engage the EPB - it'll 'whirrr' to FULLY take up any slack and get the brakes all set. Do NOT press the foot brake BEFORE this - you ideally want the EPB to take up the slack, and then for the 'hydraulics' to start from this base position.

Very good tutorial apart from one thing I do have to correct you on. You say the drivers side is anti clockwise turn, it’s Not its clockwise Done mine today and anticlockwise completely locks up the caliper. Had to take apart again push piston back and fully turn clockwise, It’s 100% clockwise on both sides for anyone attempting this method.
@TEAMR4ULTV8 ай бұрын
OK maybe different on yours but am pretty sure mine was anti clockwise. Anyway thanks for watching really appreciate it.

Hi, I was doing a rear brake job and my friend turned the car on before the job was done and now it blocked the rear wheel and can't get the warning light off, is there anyway to get it reset without Citroen computer? it in my driveway 🙂

You can do it with a Snap on scanner or any other scanner with special features on it.

@@susanlee8453 3:12 on the video am sure I show it. As for the Actuator after you take it off you don't do anything with it. Just wind the TORX on the back of caliper back and then push the caliper piston in. And the rest of the process is the same as normal brake pads. Anyway thanks for watching really appreciate it.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
