So glad I found this video. Had this exact problem with my 2015 Citroen C4. Before I saw this I took it to one garage who thought it might need a new wiring loom at at God knows what cost.Took it to a second garage and instructed them to do this exact process. Exact same problem and solved for £150! Probably saved me a small fortune so thanks for this my friend. Rob - Leighton Buzzard UK

Another fantastic diagnosis, I wish I had served my time as an apprentice at your garage with you as my mentor 🙌

It is a hard job to get anyone that wants to be a mechanic or technician. So hats off to you for doing it 💪💪💪

Great job, Peter, and parked in place for Rory to give it a good wash.

That car looks as though it's not been washed since the day it left the dealership! 😂
@bastogne3156 ай бұрын
It's seriously dirty. Like 2-4 years dirty.

I probably should have washed it beforehand, but I just jumped into fixing it late one evening 😬😬😬

It's the customer's responsibility to wash it, Peter. Not yours!

It just kinda happened by accident, when I saw open circuit I just thought it being a Citroen it was going to be a broken wire 🙂🙂

Great fix Peter. Nice bit of electric work with those shrinkies. Tell me this.... can a customer specify to you what brand of parts they want put on their car. For example if I said I want Bilstein shocks, pads and discs. Or is that just too annoying?

PS great electric hand break sound efects😊
@kennedysgarage32816 ай бұрын
Absolutely, it is totally the customers choice. But unusually most people don’t choose & generally leave it to the mechanic or garage.

Jeez when I do a bit of DIY I usually clean the area around where I'm working. And before I bring my vehicle to the garage I wash it.

I probably should have washed it prior, but just decided to tackle it late one evening and didn’t feel like working with water dropping down on me 😂😂😂

@kennedysgarage3281 I mean the customer when he's changing the brakes..should clean up the area he's working on. Not you Peter😂 Great show as always.😊

@@bastogne315 I only meant that I should have washed it before recording. Just for clarity. But you should see some of the yokes that come in, they make this one seem clean 😬😬😬

Nothing worse than french cars and their electrics! You can spend a fortune paying a Dealership for a simple problem when all they will do is throw new parts at it and still charge for a fault! Nice Job!

Thank you , they can be a bit notorious for wiring problems alright. Luckily I found this problem relatively easy and we didn’t need any parts 🙂🙂
