i bought one of these in 2019 its a 2016 plate three years old when i had it with 40 thousand miles on the clock absolutely brilliant car so reliable and economical best car i have ever had and iv had quite a few in my 50 years of driving these diesel engines are excellent i would recommend to everyone im never going back to a petrol car

@@jamierussellmowatt hi jay the car is averaging around 55 to the gallon thats pretty good for where i live as there are a lot of hills so im up and down the gears quite a lot. on the motorway in 5th gear its doing about 75 to the gallon im well pleased with it

I have a 1.0 ecoboost of the same year with only 17300 odd miles on it and there is a list of problems that could go on for days. Good to see the 1.5 tdci can live to good mileage. Dad also owns a focus with the same unit and has never presented an issue.

The 1.25 engine was the most reliable ford petrol engine

@@forza223bowe5 I agree my man. My first car was a 2010 1.25 and it ran flawlessly as the day it left the factory. Not a very fast car mind you but the Mk7's are very heavy for what they are.

@@bazasulli4975 I can also agree with the 1.25. my current car (also my first) is a mk6 with the 1.25 with 71k miles and it's always been super reliable. I just wish it had a bit more pull!

Thnx for the video, and my nxt car will have to be an auto box, and what is available on this car, so I had superb mondeo with this engine, and it ws excellent economy, the my dil still drives it, but a very refined car

Eco boosts can be problematic if the wet belt degrades and fails, but my fiesta gets used everyday and rarely has no issues

Bought a Yaris diesel after a switch to petrol. Never again diesel is the best 👍

Just a question here I'm debating on getting a fiesta tdci would I have to do lots of miles in it cause it's a deisel or would cruising on the motorway at least few times a week be ok for it to prevent the dpf clogging up?. Because a few people I know who have owned deisels through the years have told me they have just driven average miles and have never had issues with the dpf

Cruising on the motorway should be ok, you can also put additive in it which helps, and most cars give you a warning when theyre full and tell you to go on the motorway for 20 miles

@@BarrieCrampton nice one I'm probably better looking for a euro 6 ulez compliant for taking it into the city when I need to. Would you say one with more bhp can save a bit more fuel aswell because it's not struggling as much going uphill. It's just I've got a fiesta style 1.25 2013 and its 60 bhp and someone told me that the zetec petrol 1.25 82bhp might give me more mpg because it isn't struggling as much when going uphill or carrying more weight like passengers as such. I dont k ow the deisel you've shown is the 75 bhp or higher? Sorry for asking alot of questions hehe

Prices are strange at the moment there is a shortage of good clean cars and prices are going up. Best way to check if its value for money is to do a search on Autotrader, bracket the price, year and mileage see what alternatives are available

@@BarrieCrampton Really appreciate you getting back to me on this. Great and Honest video on the car as always. Reg ls15 fzy and the only thing on the mot history is Headlight adjustment needed.From what I’ve seen online it’s something to do because newer cars have LED lights.

Possibly the ugliest dashboard in the history of cars! Had a Ford focus titanium for just under a year, that dashboard was so awful it was one of the main reasons I changed the car
