Despite this post being a few yrs old, I really enjoyed watching. All sound points, info and experience regarding the 2014 FPIS. I'm considering purchasing one myself but prefer seeking out an unmarked, detective or admin car. Like you, I am a long time CVPI enthusiast and have owned many. Thanks for the great info!! Very good intel.

I drive a 2011 Crown Vic P71, LOVE the car! Very reliable, comfortable, great sounding v8... That said I do know the older it gets & the more miles I put on it I won't be able to keep it forever. And I am very heavily considering a Taurus Interceptor to be my next vehicle! Thanks for the video.

I used to take my vic out on first snow before the plows all the time(limited slip rear end). Never had any issues in my vic in the snow even with bad tires, of course if you tapped the gas the tires would spin, just didnt drive like a idiot and kept it under 25mph when you couldn't see the asphalt anymore on turns

I owned 3 CVPIs, 1999, 2000, and a 2009. My very first car was the 1999. I traded my last one in for a new 2015 Charger SE. Gets way better fuel economy then the Vic but definitely miss the sound of the Vic. I considered getting a PIS because they do look good, I'm just not a fan of the OEM radio and its design. I've been tempted to get a 2015+ Charger Pursuit because it has more comfort features like touchscreen radio, pushbutton start, etc. Either way, the Ford PIS and PIU are still very good cars.

As an officer I have to say that the crown Victoria is way slower, less appealing imo, less fuel efficient, but the interceptor sedan is cramped with the cage inside of the vehicle tbh ... The interceptor sedan does handle well and doesn’t get stuck with the AWD... at high rates of speed the interceptor sedan does have better stopping capabilities and quicker.... I honestly would prefer the sedan over the good old Vic but nostalgia and breaking the rear loose would be the cool factor of the Victoria

The water pump is located against the firewall, in the back. When the water pump eventually fails, which it will, they have to drop the engine to get to it. That's the deal with that generation of 3.5 L Ecoboost engines. Good luck.

repairs on the crown victoria is very inexpensive. the 4.6 engine is facing the front, making it easy to remove and install worn out parts. the coils and plugs are very easy to get to. the alternator is also easy to remove and replace. the taurus engine parts and all are tight to get too. my state stills drive the CPVI.

@@pitbullchamp3459 I bought one of these about a month ago and it's a great car overall but I've noticed it seems to jerk while driving under 40mph, has yours done anything like that or do you think I should have it looked at?
@pitbullchamp34595 жыл бұрын
@@j.a.k.e mine haven't done anything like that, but have a shop take a look at it and your suspensions. from there they might tell you to replace and fix some parts of course, then find a personal reliable mechanic if you can, let him check on it also and let him do the work if is needed, better price and save alot of money. but it sounds like it might be a spark plug, because sometimes when your car jerks (like a push) a spark plug already worn out, if so replace all 6 of them and also your gasket which it should be less then $60 for the parts.

A note on the ride of the Vic being rougher, yeah, it's fairly rough compared to my old Grand Marquis. That Merc was like "oh don't worry about potholes or any bumps, I'll take them all for you" while the Crown Vic is like "FUCK YOU POTHOLE FUCK YOU GIANT ROCK FUCK YOU SPEED BUMP FUCK YOU CURB FUCK ANYTHING THAT GETS IN MY WAY"
