Good review on this one. I have a 2013 as well. I regularly see 21-22 mpg in the city and 25-26 highway. Aftermarket is rather dead for these and I've done most of the work to my car. There are work arounds but they take time. I've custom painted mine and replaced the interior as well since mine was a K-9 Unit.

I own the Utility and the major problems I've had was the water pump going, something you should be mindful of. It's a common problem. The strut mounts are shot on my car, have to be replaced.

@@waltertaylor9615 When you turn the wheel from one side to the other, you will hear a popping noise coming from the front end. That's from the mounts binding when you turn.

Be mindful of the PTU. When I bought my interceptor... that was the only problem I have. Ford dealers have them stock pile because they service most of the police fleets!

I will tell you the secret to never having water pump failure as I own a 2017 3.7 flex fuel police Taurus. Pour the whole bottle of k seal into your radiator expansion tank thank me later!

@@3arcninjaThe earlier units that were made in 2012 (still 2013 model year) came with the NA 3.5l. At the end of 2012 Ford decided to put the 3.7 as the standard engine for the awd version; more Hp/tq and better mpg(17/24 for the 3.5 vs 18/25 for the 3.7). For whatever reason even though the first units were made in January/February 2012, Ford decided to call it a 2013. So technically the “2013” model year was made for two years…. 2012 and 2013.

One of my cars I own is a 2011 crown vic police interceptor, has about 200k miles and 6500 idle hours. original engine & transmission. have not had a single issue other than having to replace the fuel pump at around 180k. I love my vic but I know it will not last forever, I am really debating on getting either a ex police taurus or charger for my next car. I love the way both of them look. I really like the looks of the charger and the hemi engine the most but am not a fan of dodge at all. the taurus is dope as well but I am just super concerned when it comes to reliability. I have heard they have so many issues. anyone have an idea of which is the better choice? I know neither of them will probably be anywhere near my ol vic in terms of reliability, but I am sure both of them are a lottt faster especially the hemi charger & taurus turbo lol.

I’m having code P0354 on my 2013 limited trying to repair that and get back to full power. Runs great excellerates fantastic when all cylinders running. Gas mileage not best you are correct. Much better on highway. Has factory governor at 110 only down fall. This baby is a great cruiser
